This is more of a [...] heads up than anything else. Steve Rogers from Marvel has informed me that Rebecca Lyons, the girl who assisted Crane in the spread of his virus, has disappeared from custody. It seems to be the work of the hotel. She might return, but she might not. [Blink.] That's all.

It means being a good parent, being present, letting Babs do what she wants to do, giving up the things that I want so they can have everything they deserve.

I've never been good at looking after Babs, I've never been good at being careful with her or her feelings. I've never been a very good boyfriend and I know I'm still not. And she hasn't experienced any of that, the age difference seems more pronounced now than it ever did. She's always been older than me, I'm damn near ten years older than her and she doesn't know the kinds of things we've been through. She has a huge life in front of her.

I don't know how to NOT be Nightwing, but she needs to do her thing. And I want to, for once, be able to put my shit aside. And if we are both out running around risking our lives, and something happens to one or both of us, aren't I just...Repeating history? My kid isn't losing his/her parents. Its not happening.

Just for starters....

It's an understandable fear, that if you're both out risking your lives... something might happen. But you don't have to give up everything that makes you you. There must be middle ground.

	She wants to do her super hero gig, or Oracle, or both. So I'm not going to hold her back from that. She needs those experiences, of course they won't be the same, but she deserves to have them. I've already had them. If there is I haven't found it yet. And I have no idea what makes me me. (Reply to this) (Parent)
