RATING|STATUS: TBD | In progress
Just over three months since they had officially gotten back together, not that Alicia was counting (oh who was she kidding, she was totally counting), and they were dating. Things were going well. Neither of them was particularly happy with their jobs, but Alicia liked to think they were happy in their personal lives. She hoped so, anyway. She knew she was, for the most part, but sometimes it was hard to tell with Terence; she very much wanted to trust that he was being totally honest with her, but when he talked about the house he was building with Marcus, or left for the night, it was hard to keep the doubts from creeping in. Things were good, going well, but sometimes Alicia got the feeling that 'good' wasn't actually a good thing anymore. It had been three months, and she wanted them to be great. She wanted him to move back in with her, or for them to find another place to call their own, but she didn't know how to bring it up. They hadn't even gotten back to a place where they said they loved each other; they both knew it, but they didn't say it. They probably needed to get back to that point before they could talk about living together. Alicia just didn't know how to get there, or what was holding them back. All of these things were on her mind as she passed him a carton of Chinese food and a fork as they sat on her couch, while she tried to figure out how she was going to talk to him about how she felt, if she was going to at all. She didn't want to ruin any of what they'd accomplished by being...well, herself. "I think I found a therapist," she offered instead, knowing he would definitely want to hear about that. |
