"Hello music lovers, this is your favorite late night host, the one-and-only Glenda Chittock, with a bit of late-breaking music news. Reliable sources tell me that not one, but two members of the Pixie Punks are sporting baby bumps - it seems we'll be hearing the pattering of little pixie feet in the new year. I also hear that we'll be expecting new records for the holidays from the Transylvanian Vampire Symphony Orchestra, Ten Trolls and an Ogre - though I can hardly imagine what that one will be like, and, of course, Celestina Warbeck. And last but not least, it's been confirmed - there's trouble in paradise with the Weird Sisters. And I'm not talking about that recent libelous Witch Weekly cover about yours truly and their piper. Unlike that story, I'm afraid this one's one hundred percent true - looks like lead guitarist Kirley Duke will be leaving the band to strike off on his own. Seems he and frontman Myron Wagtail have had a bit of a falling out and it's doubtful fences can be mended. Will Duke be successful on his own? What will this mean for the Sisters? Only time will tell. Now enjoy this new single from the Kinky Kneazles. Chittock, over and out."

Hallo!!

Lauryne here, and I decided to bring three of my Afresh kids with me over here...

Kirley Duke (this journal) - He's my reluctant rockstar...currently the lead guitarist for the Weird Sisters, which he co-founded (also does backup vocals and co-writes a lot of their material). Was a Ravenclaw at school with all the bookish connotations that go along with that. He was pretty shy/awkward as a teenager and spent a lot of time in the library (he *was* a good student and prefect after all). His entire family was involved with Quidditch in some way, and he was not. Working on his music was really the only time he felt like he could fully relax and be himself - particularly after he became best friends with Myron Wagtail and they began plotting the launch of the Weird Sisters. He got more confident around girls in fifth and sixth years and began dating rather a lot - though he dialed it down in seventh year because of NEWTS (hey - still a Ravenclaw!!). After school, when the band became famous rather fast, he had a bit of a hard time with drugs and alcohol (more on that in his full profile). But he got himself clean, with help, and has stayed clean for seven years - nothing stronger than butterbeer or the very occasional cigarette for him. What else? He's 30, and has two flats - one in Muggle London, the other in Muggle Edinburgh. He has a border collie puppy named Macduff and an owl named Angus. His mom is Catriona McCormack, part-owner of the Pride of Portree, and his younger sister is Meaghan McCormack, Keeper for the Pride. He and his Mum have a rather prickly relationship, but he adores his little sister and feels rather overprotective towards her.

At Afresh, Kirley was just entering into a serious relationship with Gwen Jones, whom he'd had a "fling" with years before...not sure if I want to keep this or not, but likely will for now though might eventually just reference that it didn't work out with them. We'll see what fits!!

K is also working on a solo side project (it's a side project, Myron!!) that is going to likely cause some, erm, unhappiness amongst the Sisters very soon.

Sarah Fawcett - healerfawcett Sarah is in her third year of Healer training at St. Mungo's. Another former 'Claw, she's 20 and was a Potions whiz at Hogwarts - but she decided that she wanted to push herself (yeah, another typical 'Claw) and learn MOAR, so she's specializing in Spell Damage instead of Potions and Plant Poisonings. Her family's from just outside Ottery St. Catchpole, Devon, and she grew up not far away from the Weasleys, Diggorys, and Lovegoods. She was in the same class year and house as Merton Graves. Her older brother Stephen is a junior level Auror and her Mum owns a bakery/tea shoppe in Ottery called Frosted by Fawcett that serves both Magical and Muggle clientele. At Afresh her father was a lawyer working for the Ministry, but I'm going to change him to Assistant Head of the Dept of Magical Games and Sports - small thing, I know, but it's what I prefer for him and I had made him a lawyer at Afresh because I think another character already was Asst Head of DOMGAS. Her parents still live in Devon and Sarah visits them frequently, but she lives in a cramped flat in Diagon.

She was dating Quidditch player Barry Ryan at Afresh, but I'm dropping this. She's single and I'm open to having her date someone, but it's not the highest priority for me with her - I would rather cultivate some friendships for her first.

Edmund Proudfoot - humbl_ed Ed is my former Gryffindor, current Auror. He's 29 - though he's turning 30 on November 11!! - and though a bit young for it, his talents and skills led him to become the Assistant Head of Tactical Planning in the Auror Dept. He is extremely good at Stealth and Tracking and other disguises, as well as being a registered Animagus (his form is a scrappy Jack Russell terrier that is deceptively cute and harmless looking). His natural talents, coupled with his drive, helped him get where he is - though he often can't believe it. Seems like a bit of a duffer sometimes, but that's kind of on purpose as when he's working a case, he wants people to underestimate him so he can move in for the (usually metaphorical) kill once they've written him off. His Da's an Unspeakable in the Dept of Mysteries and was in the Order when it was around, his Mum's the Chaser Coach and former star Chaser of the Caerphilly Catapults. They still live in Cardiff, where Ed and his younger siblings grew up, but Ed now lives in a fairly nice flat in Diagon and visits them from time to time.

At Afresh, he was hopelessly hung up on his good friend and housemate Meaghan McCormack, who was utterly oblivious to his feelings (and often unintentionally tortured him with her obliviousness, lol). I'm keeping that as backstory, but would like to really *move him on* here and work towards getting him over her as she never reciprocated his feelings, and I would love to explore getting him involved with someone who, y'know, actually is interested in him in return. He also needs all sorts of friends - Sisters players, we had started to hint that he was kind of a friend of the band back at Afresh...do we want to keep that?
