Wow!
"Working... not!" wins with 15, over "Work sucks" with 5, proving that, while no one in this fandom likes work, we'd rather just not do it than complain about it. WE ROCK!
I'm so sorry that I failed to get my drabbles up... the drabbles that were the whole reason for this prompt! I'll write them and post later, outside of the challenge.

Smiling softly, Lindsay reached for her hand. “You.”
Melanie started to protest, but Lindsay shushed her.
“It’s not your fault, and I know it will be worth it. But right now between the hours you’re working and the classes you have to take, it kinda sucks.”
Thinking of all the days like to today when she never saw the kids awake, Melanie agreed. Resting her head on Lindsay’s shoulder, she sighed. “I know.” |

Brian wakes up alone; swearing under his breath, he stumbles into Justin’s studio. Justin’s still painting, hours after Brian left him and went to bed.
Brian sees how tightly he’s holding the brush, sees the small tremors he can’t suppress and swears again. Stepping forward, he gently catches Justin’s wrist before he can paint the next stroke.
“Stop,” he says quietly.
Justin’s shoulders slump then tense before he puts the brush down. He turns toward Brian, anger and frustration shining through the exhaustion in his eyes.
Brian looks away then pulls him close, whispering into a kiss, “Come to bed.” |

“What did the doctor say to do about that overworked muscle?” Justin suggestively raised one well manicured eyebrow.
Brian stretched out on the bed. “He said a massage might help. At least, I think that’s what he said.”
“You think that’s what he said?”
He flashed a small smile before raising himself up to recline on his elbows. “It was difficult to understand. Apparently, his mother never taught him not to talk with his mouth full.”
Justin laughed and knelt down between his lover’s outstretched legs. “Well, lucky you. I give amazing massages, and my mother taught me perfect manners.” |

Brian stared at the computer screen in front of him. Normally his work finished itself. Shmoozing the client into giving him their money was the hardest part of his job and even that came as easy to him as getting a twink to suck him off. The ads themselves never gave him a problem. I mean, Brian Fucking Kinney has no shortage of genius ideas. It just wasn’t coming to him tonight.
A smirk ghosted across his face as he grabbed his coat and set out for Babylon. Maybe the ideas wouldn’t come, but he sure as hell would. |
