[Perhaps you're arriving around the same time he did, and if you didn't do a double-take for the usual reasons (he's just pretty to look at), you might when he's losing his patience a little with the people by the reception.

Because being told he can't simply walk back, and that there's no current other residents, nor anyone he can make a phonecall to, is clearly stressing him out.]

Why do you even have a list, if there's no one in it? [Not a bad question to ask, but it only leads to being told about the wonders of residency. From people who clearly have no intention of becoming residents themselves, something that he doesn't miss. Overall, not a fantastic first impression to get from him, who's always so careful to keep a cheery front with others.]

[Una vez pasadas las introducciones iniciales, y ya habiéndose rendido a las explicaciones tontas sobre no poder regresar a donde quiere ir, decidirá quedarse por el pueblito cercano. Si Victor llega ahí, no quiere estar muy lejos.

Habiendo perdido inicialmente la compostura, ahora intentará mostrarse como siempre, intentando una actitud más alegre y simpática con quien se cruce, charlando con otros Viajeros que vea y resignándose a pretender algo de normalidad mientras espera y busca una forma de reencontrarse con Victor. Tal vez alguien sepa detalles que la gente en la recepción no sabe, así que no le viene mal socializar un poco.

Incluso terminará acercándose a espacios como la cocina comunitaria (sin caníbales esta vez, algo que aprecia mucho), buscando colaborar en las preparaciones para ir obteniendo algo de dinero, así que tal vez se lo crucen cuando vayan a buscar algún dulce o plato del día.]

[Luego de la confusión inicial de su llegada, y de investigar un poco sobre este lugar nuevo, decide que no tiene interés en andar en el pueblito inicial donde todo es más tranquilo y parecen estar enfocados en preparar comida hoy, y en vez de eso irse hacia la supuesta gran ciudad que hay ahí.

Claro que eso implica viajar, siendo una distancia demasiado grande para cubrir corriendo. Así que ahí lo tienen en uno de los vagones del tren, con algún collar de flores que no pudo evitar recibir, ansioso y nervioso por encontrarse ahí él solo y no estar muy seguro de nada.

Al no poder lidiar con ese nerviosisimo mediante un trago o algo similar, terminará golpeteando su bastón contra el piso en forma rítmica... y probablemente molesta. Tap tap tap tap...]

[Unos días luego de su llegada, impulsado en parte por rumores de bancos de sangre en los castillos, emprenderá el viaje hacia la zona más remota del mapa. Si encuentra esta sangre, le servirá como tal - y si lo que encuentra son otras personas, bueno... por algo es un área inhóspita y peligrosa. Será problema de quien se lo cruce si termina siendo su cena.

No necesita mucho más que sus propias habilidades, así que puede que destaque un poco si se lo cruzan por los caminos a los Bosques Carmesí. No deja de aparentar ser un tipo de aspecto relativamente normal y no muy fuerte, vestido de manera extrañamente formal para adentrarse en unos bosques tenebrosos y desconocidos.]

[A few days after his arrival, motivated partially by rumors of blood banks within the castles, he'll begin the journey to the most secluded parts of the map. Should he find a source of blood, it'll be good as it is, and if what he finds is simply other travelers.. well, it isn't a harsh, dangerous area for no reason. If anyone finds him there and ends up being his dinner, it's their own problem.

He hardly needs anything other than his own skills, so he might look out of place if you do meet him across the paths to the Crimson Woods. He still looks like a relatively normal, average-strength guy, dressed oddly formally for someone about to go into some spooky, unknown forests.]

[It's unexpected, of course, arriving to a new world. But luckily for him this is not the first time he has managed such a feat. The difference this time is that as soon as he has that little colorful flower crown on his head and a map in his hands, he feels that itch he hasn't been able to scratch in a while. The itch to travel, to meet new places. Jaskier has, after all, spent way too much time in one place and it’s about time he got to change that.

His first hour in this new world, after the explanations and introductions and all that, are spent over the map with a pen in his hand and his lute case on the floor by his side. He tries to find the routes, tries to plan one that will lead him to cover the most ground. This is a new world, after all! He’d be a fool not to take advantage of that.]

[It was supposed to be a short trip to the first village, but why not take advantage of it? So instead of picking the most straightforward road, he’s taking his time by going on a more… complicated and longer route. So those deciding to start traveling on the roads might run into him: he’s hard to miss, with his long red coat and his lute over his shoulder.

Or maybe it’s the singing that draws you to him. Because he just can’t help it, in the middle of his walk, Jaskier takes out his lute and starts playing some songs. Songs about a white haired witcher who, along with a fierce sorceress, protect and look after a lost princess. He’s in a good mood, that’s for sure, and taking being in a new world particularly well.]

[ A young man walks off the bridge just the same as any other recent traveler - though rather than have an immediate verbal reaction the way most would expect someone to, it's probably more striking that he stands in place at the foot of the bridge for a full several seconds, saying nothing, just slowly shifting his gaze at the surroundings. The welcome party song and dance happens before long and even then he doesn't necessarily ask or demand anything of the crew in his face, listening without a word until the moment he finally accepts the relevant items in his hands... and gives the most icy "pleasant" smile in his arsenal. ]

What? No kind regards from the good doctor?

[ But then again, it doesn't even feel like a palace here, nor an extension of the bastard's ploy. He's certain that he would know that much if it were the case. Wouldn't he? ]

... It doesn't matter. Thanks, but I'll be fine from here. [ Waving off whatever else there was to say, he'll set off ahead on his own, to get to the bottom of whatever this all is. ]

[ See, the obnoxious greeting vibes really should have been what set the expectations for what lay ahead. Why expect anything less? Making it as far as Sunset Village only means encountering useless things (Is the bakery nice? Maybe so. If you see him in there quietly enjoying some sample off the menu, no you didn't.)

There's something to be said to the low-level sort of panic that all these flowers and prettiness and the general happy atmosphere has very much brewing in his gut, after coming from a point of dreary cold winter and the bleak promise of eternal happiness. Is this what the ideal world would look like to someone? The thought is sickening. ]

No. That's really not necessary -- Wait.

[ Well. So no better luck as far as investigation goes at this Evergreen place either, it seems. Now there's pretty red flowers in his hair, how did these people even manage to tie them into locks of his hair so deftly before he made his getaway? Note to self to avoid this sort of big plaza for the present. ]

[It's a little disorienting to be here. He's used to years in space, seeing different worlds... but then the second he's back on Earth, he finds himself elsewhere? Shiro has always been one to roll with the punches (what other choice is there?), but it's unnerving to suddenly find himself in the midst of spring when earlier that day he was in the desert and coming down from the adrenaline rush of a long, long battle.

Even if he's good at thinking on his toes, he can't help but look perplexed over the whole welcome thing. Even if he protests - and he does, briefly - he learns quickly that there isn't much to protest against, and so falls back into being quiet and observing.

There is a brief, awkward pause as the welcome wraps up and he realizes that... well, okay, that's all he's getting.]

Oh... I. Thank you?

[He can't help the glance back over the bridge he came from, knowing just by a glance that the way back is blocked for now. So, only thing left to do is set forward.]

[Alright, so maybe he accepts that he can't go back, but does he actually accept it? Or is he just going to be exploring every inch of this place he can manage in one day (maybe past what would be reasonable) in order to 1) get a lay of the land and 2) absolutely, positively confirm he can't get back for now. Listen, he's good at being stubborn, okay? And there are people waiting for him. A lot of people. Maybe one specific person. Okay, maybe he's more stressed out about this than he realized.

His relentlessness does reach an exhaustion point, of course. By the time he's traveled every inch of Sunset Town (and, yes, he likes the vibes deep down because it reminds him of tabletop roleplaying, but now is not the time), exhaustion is winning out. He collapses just outside the bakery, letting out a long breath and shoving a hand through his hair and nearly dislodging some of the flowers that locals have put there.]

Alright. Time for a Plan B, I guess.

[But what to do? Well, probably first ignore his grumbling stomach once he gets a whiff of the bread inside the bakery. Dang, he's tired, worried, AND hungry? The worst.]
