[WELCOME TO RAINBOW BRIDGE!

That's the first you hear, once you walk into this world. It's easy to see the reason for the name, having just crossed a bridge lit up in all the colors of the rainbow.

Whether you're from a different magical world, or consider the concept of magic a silly thing from movies and games, you'll still receive the proper welcome, and everything that comes with it - some information about this country, a map, directions, and explanations as to how there should be a residents list, but it seems empty at the moment.

But it doesn't end there! It's not just that you're now visiting a magical country with plenty of sights to see and places to explore, with different towns and cities, long roads across swamps, dunes and a large lake, even creepy castles by some cliffs and the dangerous forests surrounding them. No, this week they're also celebrating the arrival of Spring!

While some of the areas are naturally flowery and pretty (like EverGreen Town), it'll all still be noticeably decorated for the date, with flower garlands and bouquets everywhere, flower petals falling around and the perfume of flowers in the air, while NPC travelers will have flowery-patterned clothes, flowers in their hair or hats, and so on. Carriages taking you from place to place might be decorated as well, or you might spot horses with pretty arrangements in their manes.

You'll also be able to find seasonal treats at places like the bakery and the big community kitchen at Sunset Village, or the restaurants at Tourmaline City, or find cute colorful outfits at their clothing shops.

EverGreen Town will be thriving, with big sales on herbs, all sorts of spices, wines and ingredients, and obviously flowers, plants and decorations made with them. The plaza will be full of vendors but also people playing music and dancing through the days - a rare time for those in this town to be a little louder and outgoing.

Even at places like the creepy Crimson Keeps, you might be able to find rare treasure in the form of flower-shaped gems and jewellery!

So it's definitely not a bad time to arrive here - surely that initial confusion and outrage at being separated from your home or loved ones will go away much faster while you join the celebrations, right? Who can stay mad or anxious while wearing a freshly made flower crown?]]

[[And so it begins! Remember to note down your Travelers over here! // VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOL. ¡Recuerden anotar a sus viajeros aquí!]]

por aquí;

Tap tap tap tap...]

por allá;

& this other way;

[A few days after his arrival, motivated partially by rumors of blood banks within the castles, he'll begin the journey to the most secluded parts of the map. Should he find a source of blood, it'll be good as it is, and if what he finds is simply other travelers.. well, it isn't a harsh, dangerous area for no reason. If anyone finds him there and ends up being his dinner, it's their own problem.

He hardly needs anything other than his own skills, so he might look out of place if you do meet him across the paths to the Crimson Woods. He still looks like a relatively normal, average-strength guy, dressed oddly formally for someone about to go into some spooky, unknown forests.]

[ It almost slips out - perhaps out of his own mounting and unacknowledged nervousness combined with just how much he's stopped giving a fuck in light of recent events. Do you mind? That he still bites back the words entirely and shows no outward reaction is a testament to years of practiced restrain, Akechi sitting not all that far off on an opposing side of the train car, a leg crossed casually over the other, arms folded low.

He exhales a little instead, extending conversation if only to break up the lack of other sounds. ]

Hardly inspires much confidence, does it? Whatever this so-called city ahead may hold.

[ He gets it, whether he admits the extent of it or not. The situation is an absolute shitshow in his mind. ]

[In return, his own restraints and habits keep him from commenting on precisely that thought, or looking amused at knowing he's caused it. He does stop the tapping after a couple more, alright. He can understand being unsettled by this whole thing and not wanting further annoyances.]

If it's anything like I remember from elsewhere, it'll be normal and peaceful, until it decides it wants to fuck around with you. [Fun!1!]

[What the fuck does that mean. Tenser but curious both at once, he adjust in his seat a little, and turns over the words in his head thoughtfully before speaking. Remember from elsewhere? A palace or the Metaverse is far from normal and peaceful even momentarily, so - okay, more evidence these instances aren't somehow connected to any what he's familiar with.]

I see. [Fun indeed.] If you don't mind me asking, has it been something in particular that struck as similar? A connection, perhaps?

[The whole bridge deal... Hmm.]

[What the fuck is a "Metaverse", for that matter? They can make a little showdown of confusion at each other while keeping up the pretense of nice polite chatter.]

A couple of things [the type of reception, the idea of a temporary world they should still stay at if they'd like to], but mostly... [makes a rather fruity hand flick, Lestat would be proud.] All the magic talk.

[With a certainly one-sided aspect to the showdown as it were, but then again it's more or less Akechi's destiny to show his hand too early without knowing that he did so. Magic, right.]

Ah. That can't have been pleasant to contend with, never mind twice over. [Sorry, or something like that.]

Strange, isn't it? To some just the idea of magic alone is an impossibility, yet others here have almost seemed to find it the least troubling part of everything. Comfortable, even.

["That's rough buddy", yes, he gets it.]

Yeah? Which side are you on, then? ['Cause you don't look particularly comfortable to him, much as you're trying to keep your cool and all. Perhaps precisely because of that.]

Ha ha... [He chuckles like it's an awkward truthful admission, though the behavior is mostly akin to crawling further back into himself. Well - it does depend on what counts, doesn't it. He's sure somewhere deep in his soul the stirrings of his Personas, or his memories about the world of humanity's subconscious may well object to a term as basic as magic.]

Nothing at all like this where I come from. [Which isn't untrue with all the RPG land aesthetic shit.] I'm afraid I'll be somewhat out of my element for a while.

And you?

[If only any Palace had been this fluffy and nice, amirite.]

[Shrugs, it's also kind of Complicated on his end, though not because of even stranger powers like yours... well, unless you count the vampiric stuff.]

I've been to a world like this. Cut off from everything else, with magic and people coming and going. But it's nothing like anything we have back home.

[Not just because of magic, either.] Last time, I was from back in the past, compared to most people.

[In a way, it stands to reason that all these different... what, dimensions? Worlds? Could also mean different points in time. Still, hearing and digesting that thought is something else.]

Meaning enough people were also from the same or similar places to relate. Was it a long time difference?

[Does a little shrug to mean something like "so-so". Depends on the angle, really.]

'Bout a hundred years, give or take. [Enough for things like gay marriage to exist, but somehow racism to still be a thing.] Didn't seem to be too important at that place, though. Most of the things I heard about from the future, we didn't have them either.

[Wow, okay. Pretty impressive all the same, but he can understand it wouldn't necessarily cause so much disturbance in that range of time, or a crazy different place.]

By the looks of it, this place is similar in that regard too. [He waves a hand around them, gesturing to the train itself.] Trains in my city aren't quite so rustic.

[Makes a face as he looks around, following the gesture. This is "rustic"??]

I'll look forward to much more unusual trains once I'm an old man, then. [See, that's funny because he won't ever age. Anyhow-]

Sorry, I don't think I caught your name. [He did, but who's counting.] I'm Louis.

[If your travels get you to Evergreen Town and also to meet Eddie, there's a good chance that you'll run into him as well. He might stand out a little because well, he looks tense as fuck. As if someone (or rather, something might jump at him at any second. He's sniffing the flowers, wondering if any of that shit could be strong enough to get him to hallucinate this badly.

Clearly not everyone can deal with the transition to a new world super well.]

[...] Maybe dog ones. [Har har. You're too big for a cat, he thinks in a very unserious way.

On a more serious note, however...]

Dunno about it being "a thing", but it happened to me twice. [That one "two nickels" meme goes here.] I've met a couple of people from that same other place here, so it might not be that uncommon.
