Emma. Her name is Emma. And she's perfect.

That said, given recent circumstances, if anyone happens to see a man going on about a mind palace who doesn't identify himself by the name Sherlock Holmes... please let me know.

I have a bullet with his name on it.

I met someone named Emma once. She was very brave. It's a lovely choice. I hope you're staying somewhere safe and have someone to make sure you have what you need.

I hope my Emma is very brave as well. It seems she would need to be in this world of ours. I have decided to remain at the hospital with Emma. My only fear is my husband. I have not heard from him in some days.

It's a beautiful name, Mary. Congratulations. Everything went well, I presume?

Thank you. And yes, everything went well aside from the stubborn girl wanting to arrive earlier than planned. She's just like her father, I swear it. How are you?

I'll be in to see you and Emma in a bit, Mrs. Watson. I'm glad you're safe.

We're hanging in there. We'll be alright. Thanks, Mary.

Congratulations Mary. I'm glad you decided in time, Emma is a lovely name. A little disappointed you didn't go with Moon-Unit Watson though, I have to say.

All's well with you lot then? You know, aside from mad robots, vampires and whatnot running about outside, that is.

Thank you. And you know, I really thought that Moon-Unit might be just a little too common. It's like every other person being born these days is named that. It wouldn't be fair to all the others who have to share that name with my daughter.

I felt that staying here in the hospital with Emma was the best idea for now. It isn't particularly comfortable, but it's probably safest. And I find that helping where I can with little things here and there helps distract me from what's out there. I'll take a proper leave once all the dust has settled, but for now, I intend to stay here in case some danger from our world decides to set its sights on us here.

Very noble of you, I must say. Most generous.

Yes, you're absolutely right, it's safer there. It's a big facility too. But, we've got transport if you need it. Let us know if you need a hand at all, or you're in trouble, won't you?

I do try.

Of course, dear. Thank you for the offer. Are you in a safe place as well?

Mostly. We're mostly holed up at home, though I'm moving between here and a a makeshift checkpoint for first aid.

I'm looking forward to meeting little Emma once there's less chance of getting murdered for poking my head out the door.
