Notes: This is the alternative plot for last year's LMoM. Never leave a nice plotbunny alone for a year - they grow into giant killer bunnies. Summary: Severus Snape returns to a post-war wizarding world without the Dark Lord. No matter the Dark Lord died, his followers still won the battle and the power to rule. In this new world, former Order members are forced to get by as best they can - those who haven't escaped - even if the occupation is not to their liking. Some have even become quite successful and sought after - like Remus Lupin and Oliver Wood. The question is: will this new world order make it impossible for love to develop and grow between two such different wizards as a Death Eater and a paid man, a werewolf whore?

While cleaning out my grandfather's house, I came across something that I know wasn't his, and can't figure out why he had them, but ended up giving me a structure for this story. What I found is Gypsy Witch Fortune Telling Playing Cards. It's a standard deck of 52 cards, but each one has a special 'fortune telling' meaning on it as well. The cards are laid out in radiating circles to tell fortunes, which is why there are references to near and far. I think I'll leave the readers to decide distances as they feel. Each bit of story will be it's own card, which brings us to part one:
