Oh, hey there. I'm the new guy in D1. And I actually had a question.

Does anyone know what Pax Letale's policy on pets is?

I guess I should make a better introduction than that.

I'm Luc Haust. I'm 27, an Aquarius, and a professional songwriter. I was born in Reno, Nevada and spent ten years on Lake Tahoe, but then my parents moved to Los Angeles and I've spent the good majority of my life there. I lived in Las Vegas for awhile, but that was kind of just a really extended vacation. I was a dancer in the Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company for awhile, but that was when I was younger and much more flexible. Hahaha. I still dance, but now it's just for fun.

I lost the love of my life to illness about six months ago. I guess that's why I moved here, because our old place just had too many memories of that.

I like to cook (mostly because I like to eat), I like throwing parties, I love going out, and I like my whiskey neat. For those who aren't familiar with that terminology, it's just a bar term for straight-up. I like my friends neat too. On both levels. I am also a living cliche for saying that I like long walks on the beach and candlelight dinners too, but it wouldn't be a cliche if there weren't people who enjoyed those kind of things.

I'm really bad at this whole thing, so I'd better go before my foot leaps into my mouth. I'll be home for the next couple days getting settled in, so if anyone wants to come help me unpack - well, I'd offer to pay you but that makes it seem like a bribe. Haha. Though I'm not opposed to bribes (I happen to enjoy being bribed, but that could just be me), and I have quite an extensive collection of alcohol and stuff to smoke if anyone is so inclined.

I did not just do that. Jesus H.

Luc.

OH, AND PS: The rumors are true, I will be throwing a moving-in party - though it will technically be a moved-in party, because I can't exactly have a party in my apartment with how it looks right now. But soon. And you are all invited, should you choose to attend. But, believe me, it'll be worth it if you do..

They aren't nice, so I don't listen to them.

People are scared of things they can't control.

That's true. And, actually, watching someone go through something like that is probably the scariest thing I've ever experienced. Mostly because I've never done well with feeling helpless, I guess. And there isn't anything in the world that makes you feel more helpless than watching someone you love die.

Wow, look at me going on. Sorry about that.

That's okay. You can talk to me about it. I don't mind. I understand it a lot.

Ha, well.. the only person I've really talked to about it is my therapist, and she has so much bullshit noise to say about it that it doesn't really help anything. Not that I really find it appropriate to go on about things like that with someone you've just met, but I have been told that when I'm under the influence that what I consider appropriate varies greatly from when I'm sober.

It would actually be really nice to talk to someone who wasn't paid to give advice. And who could actually get it on more than a clinical level.

The more I think about it, the more I'm tempted to take you up on it. You're as kind as you are beautiful, sweetheart. Thank you.

I have things that can help you relax if it makes talking easier.

And I'm not beautiful, but that's nice of you to say.

Oh, really now? What kind of things? Because there's only certain things I enjoy to relax. I have some too, but I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing. My personal favorite in particular smells like a skunk's ass, but it does the job.. very well.

Darling, you have no idea how beautiful you are. And it isn't just how you look. To have someone who actually understands stuff (though I'm relucant to ask how, because I'm not sure it's my business) is.. well, it's refreshing. And nice.

I...don't think it smells like a skunk's behind. But I've never smelled a skunk's behind so I can't really say.

Oh you should stop saying that cause it's all wrong. I'm okay with being nice. We can leave it at that okay?

Hahaha, well. If you ever happen to drive by a dead one I'm sure it will trigger some memories. If we're talking about the same thing. And I hope we are. Of course, you could always come up and find out.

Okay. We will leave it at nice.

It's pretty and green. I don't think I could come up.

Good. I like it that way.

Ah, yes, exactly. So we are on the same page. Well. I could come down? If it's easier. And if you'd like, of course. Far be it for me to invite myself where I'm not wanted.
