*arrives back in Gondolin with his husband on the afternoon following the Virtuoso Awards with the express intention to let the senior staff of the Flower and the Fountain know about their lords' new marital status before their respective agents issue the press release*
*in order to maintain some privacy, he and Ecthelion travel separately to the Palace* *while Ecthelion goes to face the music speak with Turgon, goes to find their dog and to break the news to Idril* *only manages to extricate himself with promises that he and his husband will have lunch with Idril and Tuor the following day*
*en route, texts Aerandir to ask that he and Sophie meet him at the conference room at the House of the Fountain in half an hour* *arrives back (home) at the Fountain and goes to the conference room himself, genuinely entertained by how excited Marigold is to be back here again* *tips a salute to Pete as he walks past the front desk* |

*on the evening of the Virtuosos, makes a concerted effort to work towards House unity* *commandeers the main conference room in the Fountain and invites over any and all Flower and Fountain staff to watch the show*
*sets up plenty of drinks and snacks while Aerandir sets up two flipcharts* *is slightly concerned that there has been no sign of either the Lord of the Fountain or the Lord of the Golden Flower (as the television commentators have re-emphasised at quarter-hourly intervals*
*is entirely relieved when Glorfindel appears onscreen to present an award*
*is finally starting to relax when television cameras show Ecthelion sitting (rather awkwardly) in the auditorium, looking tanned, at least, if very bearded*
(*aaaand that relaxed feeling promptly vanishes*) |

*attends Ecthelion's almost-impromptu Friday night gig with Esther and is, as always, blown away by her big brother's talent* *couldn't help but notice that the character of his newest songs verged on the melancholy wrist-slittingly depressing soulful side*
*does, under Ecthelion's advice, keep an eye open for Salgant and Roxy just in case either of them get it into their heads to ruin Ecthelion's catharsis performance* *knows she's more than capable of taking them both* *also, and not under Ecthelion's advice, keeps an eye open for Glorfindel so that she can politely tell him to sling his hook, should he turn up*
*has a pint ready and waiting for him after the show (and is remarkably sober as she has been pacing herself - until Ecthelion can catch up)* |

*is starting to wonder whether there's something in the Fountain's water, because between Erestor's mysterious retreat into hermitude and Ecthelion's breakup... un-Ecthelion-ness all around, the atmosphere at the House has gone cool and quiet*
*decides this requires a meeting of the sane people (i.e., herself and Tanya), and so arranges to meet with the Fountain Third at their current favorite restaurant/pub* *arrives in a few minutes late, hastily put together but looking pretty fabulous all told (the work of her ever-helpful roommates)* *unwinds her scarf and looks around for her fellow Fountain* |

*is loafing around the break room on her lunch break, fiddling with the contacts in her phone* *figures she can probably delete most of her Grand Fork contacts, since she doesn't plan to set foot in that city ever again* *methodically cuts the A and B lists down to size* *...after a few minutes' thought, deletes the Cat's Eye number*
*reaches the Ds and pauses as a particular name is highlighted* *glances at the clock (plenty of time left) and chews her lip on a small smirk* Should I, or shouldn't I...? |

*after a few days of the protest, is becoming more and more miffed by it all (if nothing else, the traffic around the Fountain gets backed up badly every day and that's hardly ecologically very sound)*
*decides to walk to work on Monday and just about reaches her limit (but manages not to throw any punches) when she is jeered and jostled as she walks through the Fountain front gate* *is grateful for the increased security but is absolutely fuming by the time she reaches her office and wonders if it would be really bad for Fountain PR if she put some of her military training into play?* |
