HOTH | Day 5 (Evening)

The vibe is definitely more high school basement dance party than it is night club (or dance class), but hey, it's Delerth, and it's Hoth, so even if he's just thrown some colorful scarves over the lamp on the front desk, Hugh's decided that he's sick of his room and sick of the cold so on Night Five, it's an Impromptu Dance Party in the Lobby of Butler Hall.

If you're close enough to talk to Hugh regularly, he definitely told you about this and told you to invite people. He might have stuck notes on the bathroom doors mid-afternoon. Otherwise, anyone who wanders through is welcome to join. He doesn't have refreshments of his own, sorry, but if you bring drinks - you are his new favorite person. He'll have pushed whatever furniture there is out of the way to create a semi-decent dance floor. Hugh loves dancing. It's one of his major ways to relax, so he's kind of self-care-ing here, but at least a couple of people encouraged him to do it, so he hopes it'll help other people relax too.

As for the music? Well, it's all from Hugh's laptop - at least initially. His iTunes library stops around Oct. 2018 which was the last time he was home, and it swings heavily towards musicals and pop including stuff from the 80s, 90s, and a lot of dance-pop remix stuff. His tendency will be to queue up stuff that has a good dance beat and makes him happy (I'm not gonna make a playlist specific for this, but have a supremely unorganized Hugh playlist if you want an idea) There will be some Imagine Dragons thanks to Rey, and he's open to other things, you just have to bring it, and possibly the device to play it on.

The only real goal is to keep warm by dancing, spend time outside your dorm room, and enjoy some tunes.

	I think they have! About food freezing? Or was that Eliot. Man, I feel bad if I mixed that up if just because Ben wouldn't. But yes! Ben and Hugh can chat. Ben would be all grateful for the party, so cheers to that, buddy. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	To be honest, I was going to say they hadn't talked and then I went 'WAIT FOOD!'. Ben is also very sad that the food didn't survive. They can lament it together. 	Hugh hears that. He’s just really glad he was coming from a show, and thus had his backpack on him. There are so many times he would have been SO screwed… but they can lament the food. Ben envies him for that so much. And he'd tell him if that came up in conversation. He got pulled in right after lunch with his brother, so all he had was his brand new phone that he hasn't fully customized yet and his wallet.

The ingredients are always the tricky part. But Ben would be all up for baking of things. He needs to find a cherry pie recipe too so that Sydney will be happy.

	Hugh is like "that would completely suck, I'm so sorry. If you ever need, like coffee, I have some that resets every week and I can usually give a cup or two away." But he'd be happy to set up a baking party for the future. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

You are his new best friend as he kind of goes starry eyed as the idea that he has coffee that resets every week. And he says this as a guy that worked in a coffee shop.

Obviously a baking party needs to happen. And maybe it can get fused into cooking lessons for Rey. And possibly TDB (tall, dark, and broody) Ben. XD Which Ben is like 'I'm not sure how I feel about SBC for my acronym (spry, blond, and chatty), but it works for now'. XD XD XD

Oh, gosh, Ben. Hugh also worked in a coffee shop. And Eliot said he wasn't supposed to talk about it, but Hugh doesn't care at this point, so he will say that you are welcome to come make yourself a pour over tomorrow morning (and his room number). But the beans are Anchorhead Coffee - they're the GOOD stuff.

Yes. LOL. Hugh's like 'oh, TDB was the one that was in our rooms for a while the week arrived, only then he left again'. Although he kind of thought his name was Ren, but he won't say this because he had just arrived and everything was confusing.

Ben is completely confused at why you wouldn't mention this, it's nothing to be ashamed of, there are so many good skills to learn at a coffeeshop, even if like his coffeeshop was 90s coffeeshop versus 2010-2020 coffeeshop. XD And he would normally brush off the offer of GOOD stuff because his stomach is just a garbage disposal, but it's REALLY COLD and he's been out scavenging so he could really use this treat, ok? And it'll reset, so it's ok, right? RIGHT?

Ben's all, oh right, that week with all the extras that then left. He was distracted. >_>

	Hugh has got you Ben. Come by his room tomorrow (not too early please) and he's got enough for a pourover for two.
