Drabble Day: Hello, and Prompt No. 1  
Hi guys! Welcome to the first hour of AWZ DRABBLE DAY!!! \o/ \o/ \o/

It’s midnight here and ungodlier hours in many corners of the world. Nevertheless, your currently hosting brainthird is armed with coffee, bravado and a whip, and if I do not see drabbles popping up like daisies, I will be forced to act like this:

That's so gay!
Florian bit his lip.

The pain it causes and his crinkling forehead create a perfect expression of pained exasperation.

Deniz pats his back sympathetically, “Don’t take it so hard. Refs make bad calls all the time.”

Florian nods and opens the sports magazine, hand curving supportively over his mouth as he tries to read.

Habits are heard to break. But then words just used to be words; people knew what you meant despite what you said. It didn’t stop casually cursed words hurting the wrong people.

Florian’s aggravation would be silent until his father’s words stop falling from his mouth.

Aw, this is lovely. Reminds of the Florian I actually liked, before Show screwed him up. Love the line about "words just used to be words". And supportive!Deniz FTW!

I like this a lot, every time I read it, this German proverb comes to my mind:
"Selbsterkenntnis ist der erste Schritt zur Besserung."
(like: "Self-awareness is the first step to improvement")
