At what point have I lived in the wizarding world long enough to tell the lot of you that the ballpoint pen is nearly sixty years old and is not a technology to be afraid of? If you dislike the idea of brios, may I suggest fountain pens with refillable chambers have been in existence since the 1850s. Heck, even dip pens are better than quills. Less likely to get broken.

This is brought to you by the fact that I am pretty sure I've gone through half a dozen quills in the last two weeks.

I think I might have gone out on a date? Only I'm not sure if it was a date. But it kind of felt like a date, only we weren't the only ones who went out for a drink.

[Monte]
I had a good time over drinks Thanks for inviting me When's the next Falcons game?

If used correctly a quill is always a pleasant experience.

It's a ridiculous use of feathers. And I've seen some ridiculous feather usage.

Quills have served us well for hundreds if not thousands of years. What's wrong with feathers anyway?

What's so great about pens then?

If you want an example of shark-logic, look up!

You'd think I'd have learned that logic has no power of the wizarding world by now.

I've been fooled once more.

No need to refill/dip constantly. Less expensive to both purchase and manufacture. Less prone to breakage. Ease of travel.

You know there are spells so you don't have to do anything to refill? And prevent spills? And breaks?

Magic easily compensates for all this. And quills are more distinguished.

I'm sure pens are fine for some. Very quaint.

What happens when you're twelve years old and you're trying to complete summer work and you're a muggleborn? Can't do magic outside of school, remember?

Well I didn't say you could never use a pen, just no reason to say quills are useless either. Much easier to use magic with quills.

I rather like the sound of scratching on parchment as well.

What happens when you can't use magic then?!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
