Normally sitting with the entire team is fun... Maddock is at every Portree match anyway, so that's not different. But his conversation with Ellie about personal issues with Merc is still on his mind. So that makes this feel weird.

He's happy that Jason is back though, so that's why he didn't volunteer for the liquor run (so he can haaaaaang with him)! He's also distracted by the chaser game because that is STRONG! the shots on goal are insane. What is this, hockey? And the short match just means less time to feel awkward!

Jason had only briefly seen the team this morning, busy with Florrie, and then starting physio for his shoulder. He was glad to be out now. He did have another neon pink brace, only this one was hidden under his layers, best not to so obviously give away one of Montrose starters was injured right before the busiest part of the season. However, he still is mostly using his left arm in place of his right.

Privately, he is glad to be in the Montrose block, but he is sporting his neon pink scarf. Always representing.

As soon as the line up is announced, he comments. "Interesting that they're not playing Alasdair."

"Resting him up I guess?" Maddock shrugged as he looked to Jason when he commented on the line up. "McCormack's out again too," Maddock added. Also Maddock's wearing a pink t-shirt. Not pink beard though.

Jason shrugs. "They have a rather new offensive set out there. I am just not sure if any of them are ready to lead, it should be an interesting match."

"The rookie, the new lad and the reserve. Interesting to see how they work out there," Maddock nodded.

"Especially because with all the chaos, he and Scrimgeour are the stabilizers, but she's still a rookie."

"She's a fierce rookie too. Not sure that translates to leader." Portree was always about the chaos.

"No, probably not, but it will be interesting to see what they do with it." All things considered it's probably a good thing that it's a short match.

The second by second shots on goal were INSANE! It was a short match, but watching the Chaser Game was a bit.... intense and exhausting. "Wow."

Lennox tilts his head and listens to the line-up being repeated. "Huh, you're right," he replies, remembering what Jason had told him about his friend at the last match.

"What do you think - taking the risk to get air time for the less experienced, maybe?" Lennox was wondering if Portree were benching players for this the way Montrose had benched players against Chudley.

"Couldn't say, but I'm interested to see them play today." Montrose was about to see a lot of Portree over the next couple of months, Jason wanted a better feel of the other chasers. And more importantly where they stood now with the team.
