What Amir said not too long ago does make Scrimmy look around the locker room today and realize that he was right, she is the only player on the team to have played every Portree match... That feels weird and really hammers home how much things have changed around here this season.

Scrim hops up and down, shaking her shoulders out as she listens to Joy's walkman. It's fine, don't think about that, just go out and try to smash Tutshill. No Alasdair to run things in the air just means going hard early and score score score to make up for not having him there. They can do this! Pepper is still new and David's still getting experience but they can do this! Well no Alasdair and no Meaghan at the hoops even...no no it's fine. All cool. Her and Joy went wild on the wasps when Alasdair got taken out by a bludger, just play hard and it'll all be fine! They can DEFINITELY do this!!!

Ellie's sentiment today is similar to what happened at the team meeting yesterday. She wants a quick, victory, brutality optional because in this block the Tusthills are not the match that matters. Their rank going into post-season is pretty solid. And even without a good seed, they are a team that shows they can win and that's what matters.

However, the Neep is coming and it's about finding balance.(Ellie still privately thinks the Neep is kind of silly and has all sorts of mixed feelings about how that involves Merc, but she is not saying those out loud or anytime soon.) So, guys, play hard, be agile, and end this quickly. We have other things to worry about than one of the lowest ranked teams in the league.

This game, her nerve-baking looks like Galaxy designed ginger snap cookies and lemon spritz cookies with a dab of chocolate- mostly in keeping with Pride colours, but also because it's the first day of spring!

Ainsley still doesn't have any pre-game rituals in the locker room, so she simply makes small talk with anyone around. She's not sporting the war braids this go around, but her hair is secured by several hot pink barrettes and a hot pink kerchief. She even has on a pair of A&K gloves that she ordered the week before. This game is less about proving herself and more about getting out there and getting the job done- even if she wasn't supposed to be out there in the first place.

Between enough foul calls in their short play time that Maddie might have started getting worried (given what she's seen and heard of late with poor calls), and the fact that Ellie has called for a short match, and Maddie's determination to not let the other team's Seeker show her up—yeah, the second that Snitch shows even a flicker, she's on it. Other Seeker didn't even have time to blink.

Come on, Lorna! Let's go set up for Rhonna's birthday party!

Knowing Coach wants a quick match, and there's no Alasdair today, Scrimmy is determined to go hard from the moment the whistle blows.

The first half hour of any match is about finding your rhythm as chasers for this match, and since this trio is an entirely new combo it does take time to get into the right groove. Not to mention that Tutshill apparently have the same idea about going hard early as the whole 37minutes are a flurry of chaser activity, with a shot every 20seconds on average. But it's this sort of intense pace that Scrimmy has been learning all season how to keep up with, one of the upsides of playing half a season next to the Aussie style.

She's no leader, but Scrimmy has plans to be the one setting the shooting pace here. She meant what she said to Keke, tornadoes can TRY and keep up! Whatever quaffles she's fed, Scrimmy tries to make them count, and she's really embracing the small fast paced scoring style that she's evolving into. If Pepper or Urq are blocked, she'll take the pass and squeeze into small holes to try to take the shot.

It feels like things are just getting fun and the new trio is finding their rhythm when suddenly the whistle blows and the match is over.

Wtf?! They were JUST getting into it!!

For a short match, things were pretty crazy on the pitch. The Chasers were INSANE! There wasn't even time to interfere much with beaters because there is such a back and forth, but Ainsley is doing good at keeping quaffles out. Scrimmy is doing her proud, and Lorna is doing her best to keep the bludgers off. But then the match is over anyway... Does that mean she can actually spend time with her daughter on her birthday? YES!

Tutshill came to ruddy play, but that's okay. 'cause Ainsley did not.

Both sides are playing lightning fast, and it's probably the most fun she's had in a regular season match in a few years. She's so caught up in guarding the posts that she doesn't even think twice when Rammer Rogers makes a run at her, tries to feint around her, and she uses his momentum to shove him bodily into the boards. The Wainscoting foul is called, and Rammer looks really dazed, but she doesn't have time to feel bad. In a few minutes, it's all over anyway.

Merlin, that was intense!
