Whizz Hard Book Launch
Who: Anyone related to Scottish Quid/Affairs/Press/Books in general (so pretty much all of you if you want) and all current and past members of both teams (NPCs welcome!)
What: The release of the Golden Neep companion book
When: March 16th 8pm
Where: Portree and Montrose clubhouses
Warnings: Language maybe? Drinking

This year marks the 400th anniversary of the BIL's most exciting rivalry: The Golden Neep! In honour of it, Whizz Hard books is proud to present a companion book to their world famous 'Quidditch Through the Ages'.

WELCOME TO THE RELEASE OF:

Neep themed decorations are throughout the cocktail party. Including intricately carved neeps, and hors d’ouevres served in small carved out neep bowls.

At one table on each of the Montrose and Portree sides of the party is a long table set up with the book of the hour! There are even special edition versions in Montrose or Portree colours available tonight. Everyone who has prepurchased their book will get it in a bag of their choice. Options: Montrose, Portree, Golden Neep (for those who like to remain neutral) designs.

If you’d like...try to get it signed by your favourite quidditcher, you’re likely to find them around here somewhere!

The Book of the Hour

Each side has a party!

Management offices on both sides are locked and heavily warded to prevent spies (we got your back, Fergus) from sneaking around. But the main areas of the trophies, historical rooms, and social rooms and lounge are all open to the guests.

Both sides have shined their trophies and old players have even lent their individual ones to buff up the display. On each side there are articles framed on the walls at various places, showcasing historic or significant victories or moment and each has even set up a historical showroom for it to show the uniforms over the years too. It’s a chance for both teams to show off their long history as BIL clubs and their numerous successes.

Just for tonight a dedicated floo connection has been set up between the two parties connecting the main rooms to allow people to move freely between each side. The floo will not allow you to go elsewhere and there isn’t even a requirement to name your destination, though if you’d like to leave please use the regular floo available around the corner.

"Oh, good. I'm glad we still hate him. Bastard." He looped and arm through hers. "We should go find a drink for you. How's it going with- you guys call it QUABBLE, right?"

"We're always going to hate him," Fiona said taking Alex's arm as he escorted her through the party. "I will be needing my third drink soon," she said not sure why she was being a lush tonight, but going with it. "Well, Dunbar and I are starting from the ground up with it. Our office is over WWW so... never a dull moment going into work."

"Well, good thing it's not a school night, and we're wizards- and witches- who can deal with pesky things like hangovers." He grabbed a couple of cocktails and handed her one. He had to think about the three letters for a moment. "That's the, uh, joke shop in Diagon, right? Something, something Wheezes?"

"That's what hangover potions are for," Fiona corrected him and thanked him for the cocktail. "Weasley Wizard Wheezes, yes. Nothing swankier available yet," Fiona said taking a drink. "Speaking of, good job on the decorating. That's part of your job right?" she teased.

"Arguably, that makes the real estate more affordable, right? Do you guys have to renew your sound canceling spells daily or hourly?" He tries to maintain a look of polite interest, but can't keep the teasing quality out of his expression.

Ah, well, turns out turnabout is fair play... Once more, that roll of his eyes that lacks anything like heat. "My role in this was strictly supervisory, fortunately. Whizz Hard put in most of the decorating work and planning- though I couldn't have even done what I'd been able to do without Dani. Do you know pretty much everyone on our side, or do you want me to introduce you around?"

"Affordable, but booby traps on the way to work," Fiona explained and gave Alex a raised eyebrow at his polite teasing. "Hourly."

"Well Whizz Hard and Dani did a wonderful job then," Fiona smirked. "I'm sure you supervised very well." More smirking "You're looking at the daughter of not one but two famous Quidditch players, albeit on the rival team," Fiona clarified. "That being said, I might not know the younger ones players."

Once more, Alex offered his arm. "Shall we take a turn around the room? I'm sure a few of them are hiding around here. Then maybe you can sneak me to the other side and show me around. I could finally meet your parents, and absolutely not tell them about that time we went skinny dipping in the Rockefeller Center fountain."

Fiona took his arm again. Such the gentleman. "We shall. And you can introduce me to anyone you think you know more than me," she said. Fiona gave Alex a careful look at the comment of telling her parents about skinny dipping. "Oh you can definitely meet my parents. You can judge for you safety if you wanted to mention that to my father." Fiona would leave that in the air if that meant violence from her or if her father was scary.

Alex laughed at that. "Fair enough."
