New Directions OOC

The official date for Sectionals is Saturday, December 11.

The holiday show will be on Saturday, December 18.

There will be some sort of thread for both of these, they'll be THNM and mostly behind the scenes and reactionary sort of things, though there might be performances. We'll see how it goes.

Winter break is December 20th - January 2nd. So, no school then.

That is all, as you were.

You might have noticed that there's a rehearsal post up.

It ain't there to just look pretty. :D

The Rehearsal posts are game canon, and there will be one challenge and one performance post per month. If your character is in Glee, you are REQUIRED to tag in, unless you have extenuating circumstances--just let the mods know what they are.

The challenge post will run for two weeks. During this time, tag in, thread with whomever (pre-rehearsal chit-chat), feel free to ask Mr. Schuester questions, etc. Eventually, Mr. Schue will post what the challenge is within the thread, and then you can post conversations about the challenge or rehearsal or whatever.

The performance post will be up around mid-month, and this will be where your character can write a tag with their song performance, reactions to others' performances, and again, if your character needs to speak to Mr. Schuester, that's cool too.

Now...I'm going to head off to put my characters in. I hope people will follow me. :D

New Season of Glee starts next Tuesday! Feel free to celebrate....NOW!

Sooo what's going to happen is there will be a Big Post each Tuesday in order to Discuss the New Episode! You can comment to your hearts delight, and discuss as much as you want.

And then, in the same post, comment with what plot points from the episode you would like to accept into your characters' canon. Put your character's name in the subject line of the comment and list what you want to accept and clarify what DIDN'T happen in your character's canon. Feel free to discuss in comments with each other about points in canon, and use the post as a method of communication!

Since we're an AU game, we have the freedom to decide what did and didn't happen. Also, for the OCs, if there is something that happened to a minor character (or one that is not played here) that you would like to happen to YOUR OC, feel free to discuss that as well.

Generally, you should decide by the weekend what you want to have happened.

Also, a note about Time and It's Passage: We play kind of fast-and-loose with the space/time continuum on the game, but then, so does the show! (A three minute labor and birth, show? Really?) Generally, one show covers one week. We play in semi-real time, with a general "Time Has No Meaning" (hereafter referred to as THNM) label on everything.

So, in other words, in regards to Time and It's Passage: Don't Sweat It. :)

Thing Number One: ontd_mckinley is now open for crack!plots, AU!plots, or Future!plots! Go ahead and join the comm! Remember: All plots in the ONTD community are NOT in-game canon. This is just for fun and ridiculousness.

Thing Number Two: To ease the pain of no new Glee episodes for a while, the summer at new_directions will be fun and exciting! (We hope!) Therefore we will have Glee Camp!

And what we want to know from you is:

Shall it be Day Camp or Sleep-Away Camp? We figure Glee Camp will be during the week for two to four weeks in July into August, with weekends at home. Give us your opinions in the comments.

We're going to run our in-game Regionals a week after the season finale. This will give you all a chance to have Vocal Adrenaline run some pranks on your character!

Use reason: No physical abuse (worse than egging--poor Rachel!)! Nothing that would physically incapacitate your character.

Perhaps our Sue (hint!hint!) can help VA do some pranks! Go nuts! (within reason, of course!)
