I've been busy making things myself these days, thanks to having the world's most adoring, patient teacher. This is my latest creation. Gold is much more forgiving to work with. I'm really proud of it, though. The trick is not keeping everything I make to put in my own hair!

We're enjoying the mostly nice weather while it lasts, because sooner or later, it'll be all inside, all the time. And I don't know about the rest of you, but given that we lived underground for elevently billion years, I like the sun once in a while.

The shop smells like coffee, fresh-cut wood, and new paper. If you go towards the back, it smells like old paper, because that's where we keep the more expensive volumes. We were featuring a first-edition of Poe's works for Halloween, but now I'll have to think of something else for November. Suggestions encouraged!

It's getting colder and colder up here, but the snow hasn't started, which, you know, makes living up north interesting.

The farther out I go, the less cell service, etc. So I don't have to listen you all unless you come bother me.

But here in New York, it's so...gods damn loud. Has it's perks, though.
