Fandom Name: StarGate: Atlantis

A Brief Description: In 97, a little network called showtime introduced us to a show called Stargate: SG-1. It was about a team of people who travel across the galaxy using a giant ring of alien origin, The StarGate. They encountered aliens, some hostile, some friendly. Their continuing struggles took them to another galaxy, the Pegasus Galaxy.

Atlantis is about the team who went to the Pegasus Galaxy. There, they met new friends "Teyla and Ronon" and new enemies, The Wraith, Original Replicators, and The Genii to name a few. The Wraith are the super big bad aliens who suck the life force from people by placing their palms to the chest of the victim. Through many quirks and calls, they seem to survive impossible odds, losing on a few side characters and one main one along the way.

Jerry's Final Thought: Through it's ups and downs, Atlantis has proven one thing, longevity need not depend upon understanding. For every time we thought we understood, they tossed us on our ears and called it a rainy day. Love it or hate it, Atlantis gave us five years worth of shows.
