As a proponent of further education and of the intimate and essential part of the empathy muscle and realism in acting, I suggest Theatre Majors (and anyone looking to not suck hard at life better themselves) should look into the Meisner Technique. I’ve been allotted an extra slot this summer and will be filling it with an “Intro to the Meisner Technique” course, in which we will merely touch on its origins, stigmata and what you might learn in it. We’ll also take a look at it comparatively to other methods of acting, view it objectively to weigh out how it might help or hinder you. The Meisner Technique is a two-year commitment and I am not a Meisner-liscensed coach (nor do I want to be), so this is not a one-time exploration. If you wish to further your knowledge and understanding I will have information in your evaluations at the end of class.
I suggest this to all students, but stress that it is of great importance to those looking to work in Film or on the Stage in any respect. Particularly to those looking to act or direct.
Actors: Learn the Meisner technique. It is the “in” thing right now and it is taking off like a rocket; even has managed to surpass the Stanislavsky method on the popularity meter in some schools.
Directors: You’ll be working often with actors. Know what they know. Simple as that. It will allow you the opportunity to further convey your direction to them.

I was thinking of stopping in at the local salon and getting a pedicure, you should come with. The bitches love men with well-manicured feet; gives them reason to assume that you are compassionate and sensitive. And I would also prefer to have a partner-in-crime to keep me from falling asleep again. I just get so relaxed there, with all that doting and pampering, it’s hard not to get my Sleeping Beauty on.
Afterwards we can watch Top Gun or Gladiator to help you feel like a big boy again? You call in make the dinner and I’ll bring the wine? What color crazy straw you want? I call the yellow one! I’ve grown fond of the little bumble bee attached to it.

I think this was the best weekend I've had in such a long time! So many incredible and - might I say - creative costumes. I'm starting to understand what everyone is saying about this 'something in the water' feeling going around. A lot of people were certainly feeling the Love Bug on Saturday. It was pretty funny to watch.
There needs to be more of that. The party, I mean, not the unusual feelings.
I've been granted permission to construct a hanging garden on the roof of our apartment complex. Thank Iris for that little power perk. Anyone have any suggestions of structure or plants?

Yesterday was amazing great! I can't even begin to say how much fun I had. You really do have a lovely voice and I can't thank you enough for suffering through my rendition of Moon River.

Not one, but two different Snow White adaptations being released in the same year? Mirror Mirror came and went — not with a bang, but a whimper — and now there's Snow White and the Huntsman in June.
To be honest, I don't see the appeal at all — in the traditional version, all she does is sleep and be rescued by a prince. While I'm a snow-pale giante goddess with raven-dark hair and you don't see me getting my own film. — well, unless you count the Snow Queen movie that Disney keeps saying it's making, but I have my reservations about that project, too. Count me unsurprised if the snow queen is simply rendered as another cackling villainess.

Alright, thanks to a conversation with a friend, I'm gonna try showing a few things that make me happy. First up, my new baby, Liulfr. He was a gift, and I'm training him to be my guard wolf. I found out his species, the grey wolf, is endangered, so the fact that the black woods have some pups roaming around is pretty fucking sweet.
