I'd like to take a moment to remind all students that poor nutrition and no sleep is not an advisable method of preparation for the upcoming exam period. Nor is abusing caffeine, alcohol, or prescription medication. You will find yourself far more able to retain information and think clearly if you ensure you get 8 hours of sleep a night and ensure that you are having three healthy meals a day. It is also advisable to sleep when it is dark, and to get to bed before midnight, as your best sleep will happen under those conditions.
For those students taking my class this semester, I will be holding study sessions in my office each morning at 10am for two hours to help you prepare.

I had a fun time at the party. Aria, I wanted to say Happy Birthday to you, but I missed you. You seemed to disappear. There was a lot of...interesting?...outfits. I'm surprised mine stayed together.
School related note: NOT looking forward to finals. And I have that English paper to get to. And other things. I hate the end of the semester.

I was sitting on my deck and teasing Styx with a laser pointer. And then I got carried away, shined it on the water, and she did a graceful leap into the lake. I got her out and wrapped her in a towel, but now she is sitting on my bed plotting my death. I'm such a bad parent.
