Fitz was grabbing fresh drinks when his data pad dinged an alert for an urgent message. Mostly he was ignoring them in favor of a day with his family, but given all that had happened lately, it seemed prudent to check in this once.

What he saw there had him frozen for half a second before he dashed out of the kitchen, all thoughts of drinks forgotten.

"Jemma!" he called as he wheeled around the corner in the most uncoordinated way possible, barely able to stop himself from toppling over as he saw her and Alya bent over a puzzle just as they'd been a few minutes earlier. He had to stop and simply breathe for a few seconds, his relief trying to override that boost of adrenaline. "Did you—is there a glitch on the network?"

Both mother and daughter wore twin looks of confusion at Fitz's harried entrance. This was just the moment when Jemma's device began to chime with alerts from the medical channel, and she pulled it over by force of habit. Her eyes went wide as she looked at the carbon copy message. Everything fuzzed for a second or two as she had a momentary existential crisis. Or maybe a temporal one.

The pad slipped from her numb fingers and clattered back to the table. Alya stared from it to her mum's face and then to her da's. Her lip began to tremble. Jemma snapped out of it long enough to give them a reassuring smile. "I'm sure that's all it is. What else could it be?"

It was Alya's expression that finally made Fitz pull himself back together and force a smile onto his face, despite the current of worry that still flowed underneath. He sat on the floor again and reached for a puzzle piece.

"Right, well, those are the worst." He made a silly face at his daughter while reaching for Jemma's hand with his free one, holding it tightly. His heart was still racing, but looking into the cause would have to wait just a little longer. "Is it my turn?"

Out of curiosity, I asked FRIDAY to find the locational origin of this post, and she said it was from Dr. Simmons' office. I pulled the video file, and it was the same as the very first post while we were all gone:

This makes no bloody sense. Even if we go on the assumption that the first incident was momentary temporal dissonance from Jemma's first day back, it's physically impossible for Jemma to end up in two separate, identical 2.5 second places during said dislocation in time.

Is it possible the record and video were faked? Copied over from the first incident?

I've asked FRIDAY to verify it a dozen times, and she swears it's real and matches up to the date stamp of message transmittal. Figured Team Science might have more equipment to run the clip through. I don't really have any more explanation than that, and I'm sorry.
