Good Evening Friends:
I have news from within the walls of Hogwarts. The students have begun to rise up against those who take joy in hurting them. They are small steps, to be sure, but they are taking them. There are those in the student body who would mock this message as useless. But to give news that gives hope, that is never useless.
If mere students can show such bravery in the face of such overwhelming odds, could not other witches and wizards defy those who we know do wrong? Show solidarity with these brave students. Refuse to turn in your neighbours. Stand up for what is good and right.
If not you, then who? If not now, then when?
As Always,
Your Friend.

Appears sometime after patrols on Saturday night and breakfast Sunday morning in huge mansized letters over the main entrance in the Entrance Hall. There is no way it can be missed as the crowds begin to come down for breakfast...

Who: Draco and any Slytherins in the Common Room When: 10 Jan 1998 Where: Slytherin Rating: PG Status: Incomplete
Draco hated this feeling. Everything around him was completely and utterly out of control, even as it seemed like some things in his own psyche were coming to some sort of clarity.
In order for Ginevra's plans to work...he was going to start being the Draco he had been up until a few months ago. That Draco would have informed those who needed to know what was happening, and they would go do it. Of course, with Crabbe and Goyle ignoring him still, most of his 'muscle' in enforcing such things was gone. But, 'cunning' didn't require muscle.
He was stilling in the common room...idly, but not at all. He was talking to a younger Slytherin, starting there with his 'reminders' of how badly Slytherin was squandering its best opportunity in the history of Hogwarts to command the school. He knew that his fellow seventh years would bite on that bait. To a one, they were all disgustingly fascinated with the politics of power, how to get it and how to keep it.
"It's disgusting," he was saying, "how that these damned Hufflepuffs think that they can talk to anyone however they like. Mudblood-harbouring bastards."

Who: Anthony the Great & Padma the Magnificent When: Sometime after classes Where: Ravenclaw Commons, to start Rating: Ummm, G-ish? Status: Incomplete
Anthony was in the Common Room, waiting for Padma to either come in or come down from her Dorm. He wasn't really sure where she was, but he did know that she'd have to run into him eventually with his strategically placed location. He'd promised to let her meet Enigma, but that wasn't the only reason that he wanted to spend time around her. She was one of his closest friends, and she'd seemed a bit distant lately. He could place some of the blame on himself (as he had multitudes of reasons to be distant, it seemed), but still, something was off there.
And, really, he did want to show Enigma off. What girl could resist an adorable fluffy white kitten? Hell, he was a guy and he couldn't. Turning in his chair some so that he could watch both places where Padma could come from, and yet still feel the heat from the fireplace, he resorted to looking over his notes from Charms. Though he wasn't getting much studying accomplished as he continued to peek over the top of his notes to see if she was around yet. This would have been much easier if he'd attacked her after class and informed her that she was going to spend time with him tonight.

who: Ginny and the DA what: Ginny informs them of her brillant plan. when: after dinner on 08 Jan 1998 where: ROR rating: G, for now status: C O M P L E T E (OMG... what?!)
Her plan was only half-formed, but she'd talked it over with Draco, and it seemed like a viable plan. To an extent. As long as she didn't get murdered. Either way, it was better than nothing. Someone in the DA (she was fairly certain it was Justin) had managed to get parchments onto every desk in every classroom. That was a damn impressive feat, and she wondered if he hadn't enlisted the help of the house elves to manage it.
She took a deep breath as she entered the Room of Requirement, making sure to control it so that no one but a DA member could enter. Bending the room to her needs was key. She made sure to shut the door behind her, and settled in for the others to join her. Her plan was simple and direct. The meeting shouldn't take long.

Who: Professor Sinistra, Morag MacDougal, Ginny Weasley and Michael Corner When: just after daytime classes end, Jan 8th Where: Professor Sinistra's office Rating: G Status: Incomplete
It never ceased to amaze her, how each year certain students connected with her. However, without doubt the current crop of seventh years felt to her to be the closest things to her own children that Aurora felt she would ever have. There were more than a few in the sixths that she had the same maternal feelings towards. She hated lying to them, but she had felt it was for their own safety. She only hoped that she wan't too late in showing them that they had her support. Morag MacDougal was the only student of the ones she knew had been crucio'ed that she had invited to this. Her talk with Hannah Abbott earlier in the year seemed forced to her, and Justin Finch--Fletchley's attitude in class seemed to bely a reluctance to talk about the issue. She foresaw having several more of these little meetings with small groups of students. There was only one Slyherin was was going to dare to approach, and that was going to be a private meeting.
She had not heard from either Michael or Ginny, which was unusual for both of them. Perhaps with their prefect duties, they had been too busy to reply.
She made sure that everything was ready for when the students arrived, and that her normally cluttered sitting room was neat and tidy. As usually, her globe of the heavens with its twinkling stars was happily spinning in its normal place, next to what Aurora now knew was the last picture she'd taken with Charity Burbage.

WHO: Remus and Morag WHEN: Backdated 31 Dec, midday WHERE: Diagon Alley WHAT: Remus ventures into Diagon Alley (in search of a discrete, untraceable owl) and runs into Morag. RATING: G+? It depends on who replies, and what happens. STATUS: Incomplete.
Remus John Lupin stepped out of the wizarding side of the Leaky and squinted against the bright light. The candy canes he'd picked up on sale at Honeydukes were tucked into his pocket. He'd debated about how to get them to Severus - delivering them by hand or by an untraceable owl - and had eventually settled on the owl. He hoped Severus wouldn't be upset. He wasn't sure whether it would be better to pay for an owl to deliver the candy canes, or to borrow one from an Order member and be secretive about where it was going. That... he hadn't decided, yet.
He began to head through the alley, window shopping as he went, unable to help himself. Shopkeepers were still in the process of taking down their Christmas decor, making the switch from Christmastime to everyday fare. Yet, it still held an air of festivity and relative peace. He stopped at Flourish & Blotts, contemplating. In the end he decided to step in and have a look around. He loved books... and perhaps he'd find a bargain.
He opened the door and headed in; temporarily distracted by the hooting of the owls at Eeylops, he stopped short, unintentionally blocking the door. It really wasn't the other person's fault they collided, Remus thought as he stumbled back. "Oh, pardon. I'm sorry," he said glancing up, surprised to see someone he knew.

Who: Severus/Remus When: BACKDATED: Christmas Eve, just after this entry Where: The Headmaster's chambers and bathroom Why: Remus wanted to spend Christmas with Sverus and give him his gift Rating: R for nakedness and touching and general rowr-ness, but no sex. *g* Status: complete
Yes, love. Remus could be infuriating at time. Not that Severus was angry, upset, or infuriated at all. It was strange. He was certain it had something to do with the fact that he had not celebrated Christmas in ages. Not that Remus coming over to likely spend the evening as they always spent their meetings was much of a celebration. It still felt strange.
He closed his journal and just laid there, propped up against the headboard, unsure of what to expect.
Remus tucked the parchment wrapped box into his pocket and stepped into the floo. It unnerved him to realise he didn't really know Severus celebrated Christmas... for all he could have known, Severus could have been Jewish or a Jehovah's Witness... or Neo-Pagan... or something. Of course, it wasn't as if Remus was very religious either...
He stepped out of the floo, smirking as he took in the sight of Severus leaning against the headboard. "Ready to bake cookies?" he asked, managing to keep the sarcasm out of his voice.

Who: Anthony and Michael Where: The Corner Residence When: New Year's Eve Rating: TBD Status: INCOMPLETE
The past few days had seen things settle back into normal between he and Michael, though little things had changed. What Michael had said hadn't been brought up again, but there had been some moments when it seemed like it would be. Much speculation was brought up about the gender of Anthony's cat, but he refused to let anyone check, though he was fairly certain that it was a boy. Again, however, that was just a guess.
Speaking of the kitten, it was curled up in Anthony's lap, looking asleep, but still purring away. He'd hardly let the thing out of his sight since Michael had given it to him. Why hadn't he had a cat before then, exactly? The world may never know.
It was New Year's Eve, but still fairly early in the evening. Anthony had been somewhat more quiet than usual, and after dinner, he had excused himself to Michael's room, where he was currently seated on the cot that had been set up for him when he first arrived here. However, his gaze had landed on Michael's bed, vaguely noting that it hadn't been made that morning. Though, as the door was pushed open, he tore his gaze off of it and glanced over at the door.

who lucius, draco, narcissa, voldemort, severus, bellatrix (and the other de who aren't being played) when 28 december 1997 where malfoy manor why because lucius let the order know the de have journals... and someone has to pay rating r at the least... possibly higher for violence and language status incomplete
Lord Voldemort had been busy. Unlike others in his organisation it was difficult to distract him when he had a goal - and he certainly had a goal. The Elder Wand was within his grasp; it was so close he could almost taste it. Therefore, it was no surprise to him he'd almost missed Lucius' slip. Almost. Not quite.
He slammed the cover to his journal shut, and apparated directly back to the study in Malfoy Manor... well... Voldemort Manor, now, he supposed. He paced. He brooded. He seethed. And when he was sure his anger had reached a point that his very ire could be felt in his summons... he called, pressing his wand to the mark on Pettigrew's arm. He watched the man writhe in pain, knowing that the others would experience a level of discomfort hitherto unmatched, and he smirked. "Now, fetch Narcissa... I want her to witness this," he growled at Pettigrew... and the rat simpered and disappeared to do his master's bidding.
Now all he had left to do... was wait.
