Who: Layla Williams, Lucas Scott and OTA
When: Day 31
What: Layla is outside in a spring like coat, black yoga pants, sneakers and is playing with a football, aiming it at a tire swing that she thought of an it appeared. So far she has made 3 out of 5 tries. Could turn into a small football game?
Rating: Probably PG just to be safe.
Status: Incomplete.

Layla was bored and looking for other forms of exercise. Layla had grown her proverbial rain forest in her room, all manner of plants grew in there, she had practiced her yoga and Tai chi, then she worked through what they taught her at Sky High in order to protect herself on missions, throwing daggers,(because it was pretty cool that her costume, in its entirety had show up. Armour, Sky High Sidekick survival belt, goggles, fire resistant, hair protector, cape and jet pack among all of her other tools of the trade that her team collected over the years. It must have been shipped here at the same time she was, because it was with her clothing at the swimming pool and when she got back to her room, her clothing, books and everything in her locker were already in her room. It was like the locker was shipped with her, just not in the same area. So weird.) So, here she was...routine gone through, as per usual, now she was just bored to death. School was so important to her, not having it everyday was a challenge. Layla traded in her throwing daggers then for a football, some fresh air and a target to aim it at, come on, it was the same principal! The application of a throwable object at a stagnant target, just less violent and the pacifist in her preened at that, but she never knew when throwing daggers might come in handy? Layla also realized that while here, she needed to keep up on her training. That meant swimming, hand to hand combat, survival training in the outdoors. Lastly, she would need to find a bow and shooting range soon enough to start working on her skills there, because Layla really sucked with it came to the bow, may be it had to do with the principal of how violent it seemed? Shooting an object made of meat with a sharp object. It squicked her to no end, as did the daggers, but Royal Pain made her realize you never knew when applied violence that did not take a life would be needed?

Oh. Well, that was interesting. She'd heard a snatch of the conversation, for after all, Slayers have better senses than most. She was intruding on a couples thing. Most people would have backed off, she just stood and watched. A more honest person might have admitted they were missing someone back home. Faith wasn't an honest person, though, and so she just watched and told herself she was feeling nothing.

Maybe she should go. But it was nice to watch people just having fun. Though she didn't let anything that sappy show on her face, no way. Not her style. Still, it said something that she was just there, just watching the happy two playing. A breeze came up and ruffled her hair, and she absently smoothed it back from her face.

In just a moment or so, she would go. It was a lonely sort of feeling, and she thought maybe she'd hit the bar and get a drink. But instead, she stepped forward, as if drawn to the spirit of fun she saw in the boy and the girl.

Layla looked up for a moment, ball in hand and then she jumped, "Oh gosh! Sorry, sorry, I hadn't noticed anyone nearby, even though I checked the field a little while ago." Layla spoke out loud to both Lucas and the dark haired girl watching them.

Layla looked at Lucas and then her, then Lucas, thinking may be they would have to postpone their little game of catch and mouse for later.

"Did you want to join us?" Layla gave the dark haired girl one of her mega kilowatt smiles and held the ball toward her.

"Thus far, girls have the first ten points. Aim is for an even hundred, and we really don't seem to have much else in the way of rules." Layla explained further, blushed and ducked her head. Thinking how it probably had looked, or wondered, actually, how long she was standing there and what all did she see?

Lucas looked at the dark haired girl that walked toward them. He hadn't noticed her there either.

"Sorry, we didn't notice that there was anyone around," he said to the girl.

"Yeah, you're more than welcome to join us," he said smiling warmly at the girl.

"Girls huh?" he asked Layla. "So you're beating me and you get an extra player on your team?" he asked playfully.

He turned to the girl again and held his hand out to her.

"I'm Lucas, it's nice to meet you."

The dark-haired Slayer really couldn't tell even to herself why she'd not just turned and walked away. It was more polite than potentially bothering the happy couple. But they seemed friendly enough, and her shoulders which had been tightened almost defensively slowly relaxed.

She reached out and accepted the ball, giving the two a confident smile that in no way reflected how she was really feeling. Where they annoyed about her intrusion? But they didn't seem to be...

"Sweet." Instead of shaking Lucas' hand, she slapped him five and then turned to grin at the pretty girl. "Name's Faith, chica, and I think you and I have a game to win." She giggled and held the football with confidence, she had played a bit in school and still remembered how. "Okay, go long, sister."

Maybe she could get some fun in. That would be nice, she would admit that. A simple football game could be just what the doctor ordered.

Layla smiled warmly at the lovely girl in front of her, "Faith, it is such a pretty name. My name is Layla, chica." Smiling at the use of a nickname, it made her think of Warren in a lot of ways, just she was female instead. She missed the days of being called Hippie.

"Sweet, we got a game to win." Layla laughed warmly and winked at them both. "Looks like the basketball star has his work cut out for him, just, you know, don't over do it with that ticker of yours." Then Layla looked at Faith and smiled, "right, going long." Layla ran out far and turned, waiting for the girl named Faith to throw her the ball. Layla got her game face on and watched Lucas intently then.

It was now him against the two of them. He nodded at her comment about not overdoing it with his ticker. He still hadn't figured out how to get his HCM meds here so he needed to be more careful than usual, especially since the last time he had gone without them, he'd had a heart attack.

"Nice to meet you Faith," he said.

He looked back at Layla intently as he waited for Faith to throw her the football.

Faith blinked, having no idea what this whole ticker thing was about. But since she definitely didn't need to accidently kill anyone, she decided that she would take it somewhat easy on the boy. Which was an odd attitude for her, but there it was. So she just smiled at them both and tossed the ball.

Of course, she was a highly competitive being, and as soon as the game was on it was all business with her. Although, she had to admit being invited to join their game was a fun and unexpected surprise... she felt kinda happy about it, really, and she sent the ball sailing in a nice arch toward the other girl.

"Oh yeah, I've so still got it..." She grinned playfully at the two.

"Nice pass," Layla called out to Faith, tucking the ball under her arm, then folding her forearm over the ball, Layla looked at Lucas and then the end zone. Lucas was standing there, looking very distracting. Right, it was game face time!

Layla narrowed her eyes and began to run headlong into Lucas, or so it seemed. Her free arm was swinging hard at her side, looking over at Faith to see if she needed to pass the ball at any moment so that they could make the touchdown?

He watched Faith throw the ball to Layla. He watched Layla once she had the ball.

Lucas was concentrating on her movements. He had forgotten that he wasn't wearing a shirt on front of Faith. His thoughts were on the game. He stood ready, taking in Layla's movements, trying to anticipate which way she was going to go.

His eyes were on the ball because he knew if he looked at her, he would get too distracted and then he'd lose for sure.

Faith nodded and grinned at Layla, then watched as she ran. She didn't just stand there, though. She had to get into a better position. So she sprinted toward the end zone, and then stood there. She thought about calling something like 'I'm open', but was pretty sure that Layla could figure that out.

Maybe not, though. She watched with amusement as the two tried to avoid looking at each other, and smirked. "Hey, get a room, already..." She rolled her eyes, but stood ready for the ball to come her way. As for Lucas' shirt, she didn't even notice. After all, it wasn't like she hadn't seen half-naked men before.

Layla was not stupid, she knew that Lucas had all his attention on her, he wanted to win, but so did she. Looking for Faith in her peripheral vision, she really wanted to make this hard on him. When Faith called out to 'get a room', Layla paid attention, because that was the direction she was going to throw the ball toward. Powering toward Lucas, trying for all she was worth to make it look like she would run right into him with the ball. He was getting closer and closer, that was when Layla grabbed the ball and threw it toward Faith, her head had turned toward her slightly when she decided to pass, keeping Lucas in her vision as best as she could. The ball went spiraling toward Faith, it was a decent enough arc. Layla had been practicing after all. She still kept running ahead toward Lucas now to keep him away from Faith.

He watched her throw the ball to Faith and he turned his attention to the brunette. He ran toward her as fast as he could. He knew Layla was hot on his trail but he did his best not to dwell on that fact. He kept his focus on Faith as he ran toward her.

It was a good throw, Faith was glad to note. She plucked it out of the air with little to no fumbling, and tucked it safely under her arm. As she sprinted toward the end zone, she realized something. She was actually, genuinely, having a good time. When was the last time she could say that about anything, really?

The end zone was coming up, but Lucas was a fast runner. Still, she was the Slayer. She had amazing strength. She lowered her head and charged toward the end zone. With Lucas close on her tail, she spiked the ball and did her victory dance.

"Another one for the girls!" She blew Layla a kiss and grinned at Lucas.

Layla still running and trying to slow down, running past Lucas all the way into the end zone, when she noticed the sounds of the girls victory. Layla turned in time to see Faith winking at her, making Layla blush slightly and smile. Then Layla did a cartwheel in victory, jumping up and down. Layla even ran over to Lucas to hug him in her joyousness.

"Yes, girls RULE!" Giving Lucas a good squeeze, she knew this was all in good fun. Even after it was all done, she just might tel Lucas that she would certainly say yes to being his girlfriend because he had been such a good sport.

"Next up is you, Lucas. Think you can get past two small girls?" Layla asked with a soft smile.

He hugged her back, smiling widely at her.

"Yeah, I graciously admit that girls do in fact rule," he said grinning at her.

"Well I'll do my best anyway," he said picking up the ball and handing it to her.

"Game on girls," he said, looking at Layla and then Faith. Then his focus on was on the ball.

Faith watched them hug with a bit of a smile on her face. She still wouldn't let herself think of Robin, and what she'd left behind back home. "For real, get a rooom." But she clearly wasn't annoyed, just amused by the whole thing.

"Girls do rule, though." She laughed and shook her dark hair, then stretched out her arms and shoulders. This felt great, all this physical activity.

"Kay, what's the deal, anyhow? We going to a certain score or what?" She stooped over to pick up the ball and tossed it from hand to hand as she waited for a response.

"Already have a room, we live next to each other." Layla ran over to Faith then to give her a high five, with a broad smile.

"Yes, girls rule! Well, since he threw us the ball this round, the way we had it one on one is that we let each other take the ball. So, it's Lucas' time to catch and run. So, Lucas you fine working on your own? Or do you need some help?" Layla asked with a broad smile. Layla then turned and winked at Lucas with a smile. He was totally a keeper.

"I'm fine working on my own," he said grinning at her. He stood waiting for one of them to throw him the ball.

Faith grinned and returned the high five, still glowing over her touchdown. She'd had worse times, for sure. Especially when she was playing third wheel. With these two, it almost didn't feel like she was. A nice change, to be sure.

"Alright." With a shrug, she hiked the ball. Of course, she could have tossed it far enough that he could never catch it, but why do something like that? It was, after all, a friendly game. So she threw it in his general direction, then got ready to charge him.

Layla took position in her end zone, head down as she watched Lucas intently. Layla had to watch and make sure he didn't touchdown, she had to make it hard for him. Layla got caught up at staring at his chest and stomach first. Then she was suddenly looking at his face, he was so beautiful. Layla worried that she was not going to be able to keep him from touching down.

IN her head she began to yell at herself. 'Brain, he's hot sure, but you can't let him touchdown, it is the principal of the whole thing.' Layla shook her head as if she were shaking water off of her and clapped her hands, wold whistling. "Go Faith!" Layla cheered for the dark haired beauty.

He grabbed the ball and started to run. He was alert and ready to dodge Faith. Years of playing basketball he had good reflexes and could turn quickly.

He got to being in front of Faith and moved to the right to dodge her and ran as fast as he could. He knew Faith would be on his heels and he still had to get past Layla who would prove to be more of a distraction.

And like that, Faith seemed to have wandered off. Leaving Layla standing there, gawking. Was there something wrong with her? Layla flopped down on the ground then, for a moment with a dazed look on her face. It had to be her.

Layla barely noticed when Lucas made the goal.

"Yeah we do," he said softly, smiling warmly at her. He was a little worried about her.
