Day 3- Bowling
Who: Giselle, Tyler, Jun, Katara and Christian
What: Bowling
When: Late Morning
Where: Bowling Alley
Rating: TBD
Status: Completed!

Giselle woke with the pleasant thoughts of Legolas in her head. Their impromptu duet the day before had stuck with her even into her dreams. She smiled dreamily as she sat up in bed and went to the balcony doors. She leaned against the side of the balcony and sang with all her heart. When she had finished her seranade of the entire resort, she resumed waking up.

She showered and dressed with the help of her animal friends and went to get some breakfast at the restaurant. When she returned from a satisfying meal of pancakes and fresh fruit, she saw an envelope taped to her door that she had neglected to notice before. She pulled it off and tore it open. Giselle loved getting messages, and she half hoped it was from Legolas.

But it was not to be. Instead it was instructions about a mandatory activity she was to participate in. She had never even heard of bowling. She frowned, but if she was going to be doing it with other people, she was going to have fun, regardless.

She spent the remainder of the morning, before she had to participate in the activity, redecorating her room. Instead of all pink, she concentrated on putting some silvery and purply threads in the comforter on her bed and in the wallpapered walls. She gave herself a grander vanity and a bigger wardrobe.

She was dressed in a flowing yellow dress when she left her room to go to her activity. Her hair was left down, tucked neatly behind her ears. She skipped as she moved down the hall of the main building toward the door leading to the bowling alley. She stepped in and found that she was the first one there.

She went to the desk and the golem there directed her to a lane after handing her some shoes and socks. She grimaced and held the shoes up in front of her face. "Has someone else worn these?" She whispered loudly to the golem. He nodded and she wrinkled her nose. "Do you have any no one else has worn?" He shook his head. She frowned and sighed, heading for the lane she had been directed to.

Sitting down, she pulled off her sandals and proceeded to put the shoes and socks on. She was horrified at having to wear something someone else had worn. Someone she didn't know, too! Sitting back to wait for the others to arrive, Giselle's attention was drawn to a television set high above her head. It had some dancing pins and bowling balls on it before it cleared and some instructions flowed across the screen.

She read them as quickly as she could, trying to understand what she was supposed to do. The video replayed itself when it finished, and Giselle looked down the lane to the pins standing in formation. She screwed up her mouth wondering just how she was supposed to knock all those huge pins down with just one little ball.

“I have never played either, Miss Giselle!”, Jun answered the fiery-haired girl excitedly.

After he had arrived, another came…a dark-haired young man who seemed quite friendly indeed. Jun returned his smile and greeted, “Hello, my name is Jun. What may we call you, Sir?”

He carefully watched the instructional video and thought he understood the scoring, but he was glad that Tyler was familiar with the game so that he could make sure they all had it right.

When Giselle picked up a ball to officially start the game, his heart was pounding through his chest. He was so excited and he wanted her to do well, “Good luck, Miss Giselle!”, he called, when she asked them to wish her luck. When she missed the pins and stomped, he felt so bad, “Awww, it’s okay”, he called, “It was a nice throw…just your first one!”. When she knocked one down on her second try, he clapped loudly, “YAY! You did it! Excellent, Miss Giselle!!!”.

He watched with a smile as the machine replaced the pin Giselle knocked down and Katara took a ball from the rack. When her first ball went into the gutter, he soothed, “The next ball will knock over pins for sure, Miss Katara!”. When she did, the green-haired teen jumped up and down, “See! I knew it!”

The next to go was Tyler and Jun watched him carefully because he knew how to play this game. The blond guy chose a larger ball and he stood a certain way as he lined up to proceed down the lane. Jun watched every movement…and then the release. “WOW!”, Jun exclaimed, “Look at all the pins you knocked down, Mr. Tyler! That was fantastic!”. When Tyler collected one more pin and referred to his score as ‘shitty’, Jun was very confused, but excited jumped up and raised his hand when he was asked ‘who’s next’. “I think I’m next, Sir! My name is next on the screen!”.

Stepping onto the lane, Jun pushed an emerald lock of hair from his eyes and chose a larger ball like Tyler’s. He turned and smiled at everyone before lining up as he’d seen Tyler do it. Then he turned back around and smiled again, “Wish me luck!”, he asked, as Giselle had done. He started down the lane and drew his arm back and let the ball fly…and fly it did. It not only missed the pins, it missed the lane altogether and imbedded itself in the wall above the pins, luckily high enough that it didn’t knock out the lighted border around the pins, but imbedded itself in the concrete wall above it. Jun’s face was blood red when he turned around. “I’m sorry”, he said to them all, “My strength is hard to control sometimes”. He gently selected another ball and walked to the lane and rolled it down. This time the ball went down the right side of the lane before swerving over just at last to knock three pins off of the left side of the line up. This time he turned around with a smile, “Next!”.
