Day 3- Bowling
Who: Giselle, Tyler, Jun, Katara and Christian
What: Bowling
When: Late Morning
Where: Bowling Alley
Rating: TBD
Status: Completed!

Giselle woke with the pleasant thoughts of Legolas in her head. Their impromptu duet the day before had stuck with her even into her dreams. She smiled dreamily as she sat up in bed and went to the balcony doors. She leaned against the side of the balcony and sang with all her heart. When she had finished her seranade of the entire resort, she resumed waking up.

She showered and dressed with the help of her animal friends and went to get some breakfast at the restaurant. When she returned from a satisfying meal of pancakes and fresh fruit, she saw an envelope taped to her door that she had neglected to notice before. She pulled it off and tore it open. Giselle loved getting messages, and she half hoped it was from Legolas.

But it was not to be. Instead it was instructions about a mandatory activity she was to participate in. She had never even heard of bowling. She frowned, but if she was going to be doing it with other people, she was going to have fun, regardless.

She spent the remainder of the morning, before she had to participate in the activity, redecorating her room. Instead of all pink, she concentrated on putting some silvery and purply threads in the comforter on her bed and in the wallpapered walls. She gave herself a grander vanity and a bigger wardrobe.

She was dressed in a flowing yellow dress when she left her room to go to her activity. Her hair was left down, tucked neatly behind her ears. She skipped as she moved down the hall of the main building toward the door leading to the bowling alley. She stepped in and found that she was the first one there.

She went to the desk and the golem there directed her to a lane after handing her some shoes and socks. She grimaced and held the shoes up in front of her face. "Has someone else worn these?" She whispered loudly to the golem. He nodded and she wrinkled her nose. "Do you have any no one else has worn?" He shook his head. She frowned and sighed, heading for the lane she had been directed to.

Sitting down, she pulled off her sandals and proceeded to put the shoes and socks on. She was horrified at having to wear something someone else had worn. Someone she didn't know, too! Sitting back to wait for the others to arrive, Giselle's attention was drawn to a television set high above her head. It had some dancing pins and bowling balls on it before it cleared and some instructions flowed across the screen.

She read them as quickly as she could, trying to understand what she was supposed to do. The video replayed itself when it finished, and Giselle looked down the lane to the pins standing in formation. She screwed up her mouth wondering just how she was supposed to knock all those huge pins down with just one little ball.

“Bravo, Mr. Christian!”, Jun praised the dark-haired man as he left the lane after his turn. He had a very friendly presence about him that Jun liked, but he seemed quite shy. Jun hoped that the man would warm up to them as the game went on.

Jun smiled as he watched this lovely group of people interact. He was having such a grand time. He decided that, if he ever got back to Tokyo, he would find a bowling alley and drag his circle of friends there kicking and screaming. A chuckle escaped…he could see them now…Taro would spend all of his time polishing the bowling balls and the monitor, Maki would spend all of his time showing off for pretty girls, Shuta would enjoy the game and Jun would make sure to feed him while they played since the poor and humble student seemed always to be starving…and finally, Hifumi… Hifumi he would have to watch to make sure he didn’t influence the game with any voodoo or spells.

Snapping out of his reverie, Jun saw that Giselle was up again and he clapped enthusiastically for her. “Go get em’, Miss Giselle!”, he encouraged. When the red-haired songstress knocked down four, Jun pumped his fist into the air and yelled, “WooooWooo!”.

When Katara stood and turned to give instruction to Giselle, Jun listened to every word. It all sounded like sage advice. When Katara rolled the ball and knocked down five pins, Jun was impressed, “Five pins! Five pins, Miss Katara! So good!”. When Katara returned after her second ball, Jun heard her say ‘Sorry’…”Sorry?”, he repeated, “You knocked down eight pins! Eight whole pins! That’s magnificent, Miss Katara!”, he exclaimed, throwing his arms wide and smiling.

Jun narrowed his eyes and concentrated carefully when Tyler stepped up on the lane. He watched the blond young man’s every move. Back behind everyone else, he copied those movements. When Tyler took out all of the pins, Jun gasped loudly and exclaimed, “Mr. Tyler, you are incredible! I am in awe!”. His emerald eyes looked like they would pop out of his head.

It was now Jun’s turn to go up on that lane and try to copy Tyler’s moves. He chewed his lower lip as he concentrated, remembering that Katara had said to keep your wrist straight…he also remembered to watch his strength and keep the ball low and on the lane. He approached the line and released the ball…it rolled towards the pins…heading towards the middle…but veered just slightly. It took out four on the right and one of them shot over to take out two on the left. Jun was happy…he turned and smiled. Taking the ball again, he aimed for those in the middle thinking they would still get him the most down. The space left there must have been distracting because it looked like he was going to hit the center pin but the ball just missed it and went right passed. Jun was still smiling went he returned to his seat, “Six pins for me! You next, Mr. Christian! Good luck!!”.
