Good Ending/Bad Ending meme
Do you get a happily ever after? Or a 'Rocks fall, everyone dies'? Why not both?

* Post your characters and set up two scenes. One with an ideal setting (They got what they always wanted, hit it big, became rich and famous, etc.) and one with a bad twist of events (They're homeless, everyone hates them, maybe they're even dying!).
* Others respond to one of the two settings (Or both in different comments, if they want!)
* Respond.
* ???
* Profit!!!

Just remember: no ending is set in stone, good endings can turn sour, and bad endings can be made better. Just see where it takes you and enjoy the ride!

	Bruce tenses for a second when the door opens, thinking she was going to be dragged out again. His heart rate spikes and triggers another release of sedative and he groans, thunking his head back against the wall. "See you later..." he mumbles through the haze spreading across his vision. 	This he hadn't been expecting. His eyes open almost immediately at the whistle before he frowns in confusion. Sitting up as quietly as he can so as not to jangle his chains. 	Another small smile, settling herself crosslegged on the floor near the door, "Someone forgot to lock my cage." She tapped a finger against her temple, not sure if he'd seen the helmet they usually kept her in or not. 	She shot a glare at him, "I know they did. But that's a title, not a name." She was twisting her fingers in the hem of her shirt, shaking her head again, "My name's Lucy. 	"I don't doubt that. Probabilities are difficult enough on their own..." He can't imagine what they would be like to see all of them all the time. "You're here though, you could escape." 	"Oh..." He probably didn't know much more than her. But if he did manage to trigger an episode, it wouldn't matter much where the exits were. "...have you ever heard of the Hulk?" Long sigh. "It was an experiment to increase the resilience of the human body. Something to help people resist radiation. I irradiated myself with gamma radiation...but it had an unexpected result." There's a nudge at the back of his mind and Bruce gives his head a shake as if shaking off a bad memory.

"My whole body transforms, my primal instincts take over, in effect it's a whole new...creature. And I don't have any control over it if it goes that far.

...well, not much. It's not anything I'm aware of." There had been times where it seemed Bruce was in control to a point, but they were few and far between. He was never cognizant of it himself.

"Cage might not seem that bad to you, but I'll wilt if I stay here much longer. Just waste away until there's nothing left but the predictions."

She shook her head, fingers still tangling in the hem of her shirt, a half-nervous gesture, "There were nine of us altogether, most of them were born in the box, but not me, I was free, got boxed up when I was four and my folks found out how much they could get for me."

Bruce listens quietly. It was awful the way these people treated other human beings. It was enough to make anyone...

No. Not going to get angry.

Not yet.

"You could find a way out though. Play the odds? You must have a big advantage when it comes to that." A small plan forming in his mind. "...is it harder when you have to predict with unknown variables? Would you know if someone was going to get killed if I tried to break out of here?"

"I tried that before." She said, voice having dipped, almost inaudible, fingers brushing against her neck where there'd been bruising before, "They sent one of the ones they've got a leash on after me." She shook her head, "Can't risk it again until I'm sure."

Her brow furrowed at the next question, "Unknowns are always harder to predict, it's ..." She shook her head, "It's like I can see everything that might happen, and as things change those possibilities fold up on each other and the threads wink out until there's only one left. Nine times out of ten I can pick out which one is going to be left, but not always."

He tries not to think too hard about what they did to her. Clear thoughts, that's what he needed.

"I tried to get out in the beginning. My heart rate goes up, they dose me with a sedative. That doesn't work? They flood the room with gas. I've probably spent more time asleep here than awake." Even the IV in his arm was rigged with an alarm if he ever managed to pull it out.

"I'd have to get mad pretty quickly and even then...I don't know. It's dangerous." He leans back against the wall with a sigh, studying the ceiling. "Be nicer if I could sneak out of here instead of punching holes in the walls..." What he really needed was a shot of adrenaline, that would do the trick.

	There was a small smile, "Maybe between the two of us we can come up with something." Her head tilted, brow creasing, "They don't huck you in the pit, do they? She did seem determined to take him with her. "Lets say hypothetically I did manage to trigger an episode. The chaos might be enough for you to get away, but I don't know how he would react to you. Er, sorry, I mean the Hulk. He'd try to get himself out but as far as other people go...I can't be sure."

Her brow furrowed then at some small sound from outside, "I should go. Surveilance will be moving sectors soon. If you do get out of here, two lefts, two rights and another left, main control room. You could mess up a lot of their operation from there."

	He frowns, committing that information to memory. Presumably the Hulk would remember too, if he cared to use it later on. "Thanks. Be careful and..." he really shouldn't ask this.
