Keep Your Sunday Clear.

[info]trasnochar
[info]marluna
In only four days, my beloved cousin will be turning another year older.

And so this is your formal invitation to attend the party I will be throwing for him in the park on Sunday afternoon. The party will last as long as it lasts, so don't come with that annoying "30 minutes and I leave" mentality. That includes you, Santito.

Bring a gift.

And tell me, on this post, a song I should add to the playlist.

Because of the storm and power out, we've had no choice but to cancel the morning's events. Infuriating

But in order to salvage the day, the committee has decided that it will be airing our local entries tonight, for free—if you arrive in style. Well, they didn't say the latter part, but I do, and I was elected to tell all of you this, so now you have to do what I say ja ja Wear your Sunday's best, and you can watch tonight's selection to your heart's content.

Of course, since this is going into our local arts charities, if you do wish to make a donation besides, there will be a booth for that.

We will refund those who had weekend passes, though if you wish to keep your pass for Sunday, we will refund up to $60, and everyone who wishes to buy a Sunday pass, they will now be discounted at $40 for the day along with the expected refreshment vouchers. Sunday showings will be $15 per screening.

I hope you will come tonight, since it is free, and also tomorrow. You really don't want to miss these titles.

I'm not sorry for the inconvenience. I don't control the weather.

But just imagine if I did...

I'm told these sorts of things are fun for people, so since I'm back on the network—far sooner than I would like to be—I'll do one:

I know most of you have at least one or two, so comment with the best selfie on your phone. If, shockingly, you don't have one in your gallery, then you can snap one now and post it.

Annual Film Festival.

I heard a rumor that the old Bravo place is haunted. How servants do talk Of course, I said, "Oh that's no skeleton. That's the master of the house." He is still kicking, isn't he? Somehow

Good one, yes? Just me?

The annual film festival is this weekend, and as a tastemaker, I happen to be on that panel. I think you will especially enjoy our local selections, highlighting IZML residents (and Taboga Town too). We'll be showing shorts and clips from area filmographers to start things off on Saturday morning. There will be an outdoor screen, weather permitting, as well as two indoor theatres running films all weekend at the Bravo Hall of the Performing Arts. Their name just has to be on everything doesn't it Tickets for individual screenings are $20, though a weekend pass is only $100 and will go towards the BHPA local arts initiative.

My personal recommendation is Sheer Qorma. The director and cast won't be able to attend, but we have a recorded message for filmgoers. Our entire line up is amazing, of course, but if you only have time for one...

And remember, IZML lovers—a film festival makes for an easy, but tried and true date night.

💘

[OOC: There will be an IC power outage on Saturday morning. More to come, but expect shenanigans this Saturday...]
