I got hold of my grandparents and father. Turns out, asking them about the founding of UML and Mar Luna opened a floodgate of conversation I was not expecting. I took as many notes as possible, in case there is further information in here we may need in the future.

The important bit - my mother had a sudden change in personality, specifically being even more obsessed with her research and much more aloof, while she was pregnant with me, roughly 26 years ago. This was just after a research breakthrough where she found some out-of-place artifacts in a part of the ruins they hadn't been able to access until then.

This could explain why I can see magic without being magic or having memories.

I think my plant was stolen. Or it walked off.

Considering it is a bird of paradise and as tall as I am, both options feel equally stupid to me. Despite one being the obvious stupider answer.

The pot is broken and I've checked the trash and dumpsters in the area to see if someone threw it in there with no luck. So if someone sees a giant plant loose on the grass or in a trash or something, let me know. Or I guess if a friend suddenly has a giant new plant in their house and a strange story how it got there.
