Kamui
[ maybe it's the anxiety related to so much change in the past few days: the Hunter, and then Subaru... moving to a different apartment, despite having been mostly comfortably settled. his blood supply was enough -- perhaps a little less, but it wasn't in dire need of being replenished -- for him to feel secure. but now, he has to make sure Subaru is cared for, if something happens. he'd give up his own stores to keep Subaru from going hungry, if he had to.

since the machine refused to send his twin home, Kamui has to make sure he wants for nothing -- aside from freedom.

so he is off to the shelter again, with his bag, to take more than what some would consider to be his fair share of the general supply. they can starve for all he cares.

other little questions bother him -- when does the mail get delivered? will he encounter the Hunter? and if he does, will someone intervene again? that human he'd thought he could trust had lectured, and Kamui didn't deign to give him an answer. he'll never feel safe with that man alive.

for now, he just focuses on his task: into the shelter, take the blood, and return to the apartment again (via a long, convoluted route, of course). ]

((ooc: For the record, he's trying to take 1/2 of what is in the fridge. (He usually takes about 1/4.) Feel free to encounter him on the way to the shelter, in it, or on his way back to Sector Two (via Sectors 6, 5, 4, and 3. Subaru can catch him when he comes home, too, if he's there. :D))

[If you live in the shelters and happen to have a nose, you will smell the unmistakable scent of smoke. If you perhaps wander into the kitchen, you will find that the fire that had once been here is completely gone, but instead there's a large amount of fire extinguishing residue. This substance is all over the stove and the guilty assailant holding the fire extinguisher.

That was close.

Yuki sure hopes that no one comes to investigate or something. He really didn't want his first impression on people to be of a horrendous cook. But then again...how would he clean this mess? He wasn't very good at this sort of thing.

So he turns on his communicator and sets it to video]

...perhaps I am going to need a bit of help... [As he says this, the smoke detector finally kicks in and begins to obnoxiously warn anyone in the vicinity that there was indeed a fire in the Shelter kitchens.]

Ah...

[H-he just wanted...to try and cook something...]

[Now for someone who can actually (kind of) cook.

Kaien Kurosu is up as early as ever creating some sort of variant of bacon and eggs in the Kuran Manor kitchen. He figures that today is a good day as any to have a nice peaceful breakfast with all of the people who live in the Kuran household. The smell alone is likely enough to pull all the vampires out of bed and create a cause for investigation, but just in case.]

I made delicious breakfast, everyone...~! Please come down stairs! ♥ ♥ ♥ [He calls this in vaguely in the direction of all the bedrooms, figuring that their ears will hear him even if he's far off.

He takes the variant of bacon and eggs to the table and starts setting up plates. In his strangely pink apron, he really does look like a mother...]

Jegus fuck.

I keep watching these days rolling right the fuck by and hoping they get marginally less of a fucking migraine, but nope. They've still pretty much got my bulge in a vice and slowly cranking up the pressure. Seriously, what the fuck did you douchebags even do?

[This is the sound of Karkat kicking something and heaving a sigh.]

By the way, Serket, if you even think about pulling that again I will personally punch your face so hard it'll turn into a seedflap.

Not that that'll make much difference considering the amount of shit you spew normally, but it'd be so, so fucking satisfying.
