[ You might find Lelouch perusing the selection with an -- inappropriately nostalgic expression on his face. Late October... pumpkin spice, cooler weather, an excuse for yet another wild costume party... and Nunnally's birthday.

He lingers over a costume not unlike something Milly would have picked out for him, and Lelouch smiles faintly. A devil? They called him worse. ]

[ Lelouch's plans for the evening include the party, out and about, and hopefully getting back to his apartment before he has to talk to too many people in this getup.

It isn't too dramatic; horns that are now very firmly attached, teeth he's in serious danger of cutting himself on, and a spade-tipped tail with a mind of its own. But he feels stranger than he looks, weirdly aware of other people, irritable and not in the mood for conversation.

He wants to go home, burrow into his bed, and not talk to anyone until this is over.

But he'll still talk to anyone who approaches him, because admitting he feels even slightly less than perfectly okay? That's exposing a weakness, somehow. ]

	[ Suzaku... actually didn't follow Lelouch. It was more of a realization that he probably should get a costume, and serendipity that he happened to go into the same shop as Lelouch. The expression on Lelouch's face goes through a rapid gamut. From surprise to the beginnings of his hasty schoolboy smile and back again; then, just for an instant, the set of his mouth twists and his eyes narrow, before Lelouch smooths them back into an airy, almost bored look. ]

Oh? [ Conversational. Even as he starts to take it down off the shelf. ] I think red suits me just fine.

[ If it was anyone else, he'd smile and shrug and go back to looking. Until two seconds ago, he wasn't the least bit invested in being a demon, or whatever this is. In fact, even Suzaku probably could have gotten him to give the costume up, just by saying he thought being a demon for Halloween would be fun.

But better suited for it...? Nope. Prepare for war. ]

There is plenty of red in others.

[ He waves a hand in the direction of a few that are clearly... victim costumes. Clothes spattered with red from throat slashes, head stabs, and things like that.

There are no really sword stabs, but, well.

Suzaku will be reminded well enough.

He 'casually' reaches for the demon horns diadem from the costume that Lelouch is holding. ]

[ Follows the line of sight -- and is just still for a few seconds, thinking entirely too much about all the things that could possibly mean. Dry: ]
