Day 396; open video
[ There is Suzaku. There is Suzaku with his eyes as though carved from stone.

He opens his mouth to say that Euphie is no longer in the Dome, which means that she is gone back to her death and what comes out?
]

How oft when men are at the point of death
Have they been merry! which their keepers call
A lightning before death: O, how may I
Call this a lightning? Euphie! Gone! ... for good...

[ ... Two bright blotches appear on Suzaku's cheeks because WHAT IS THIS EVEN and how can any of it be said to be for good, and he cuts the transmission. ]

[He frowns, brown drawing in.]

He is not dead, he is just - away.

[She, he means. Euphie was gone from here, but - if what he's been told is true - she's still alive. Unconscious in an alien pod, sure, but not dead. Of course, he has no way of clearly conveying this.]
