[She can tell he doesn't like even the thought of it, so she tries to make light of her own experience somewhat. Not that it was at all light really.]

I was in my evil ex-boyfriend's body. And that's more of an actual evil, not like he didn't give back my music collection when we split kind of evil. [She's still using the term loosely. She's seen a lot of things, but isn't sure if she believes in "evil" exactly. But what she felt in that body was...malevolent.]

But I'm me again and he's still lost in the stabilizer so all is well.

That must have been... really difficult especially if you could feel things from his perspective. [John can read people's minds and sense what they're feeling, but at least he is still in his own body when he does that. He can be grounded by his own emotions and experiences.]

It was a little complicated in there. Tyki wasn't in there with me, but his noah was. [Yeah, she figures that makes no sense.] I'm not sure how to explain that, but it's separate from him, but it tries to overwhelm your own wants with it's own. It pretty much just wants pleasure, and it's a particularly twisted sadist.

I kept it in check. [But she felt things. Things that would normally be repulsive to her that were delightful instead. Which is an added layer of repulsive thinking about it now.] I'm glad they didn't mess with you. At least not directly. [She imagines seeing it happen all around him was no treat. Not to mention feeling it happen.]

I'm sorry. [That she went through it at all. It was not great just feeling the waves of other people's emotions and thoughts even though he actively tried to shut his brain off to it] Thanks. Me too. [He's been manipulated almost all of his life. He's had very little agency.] Stuff like that happen here a lot?

[His synopsis earns him a smile. It was terrible with an extra level of terrible on top, but that's kind of her norm. It's days like this when something good happens that stands out to her more.] Every few days, but different things at different levels. Sometimes it's just a party or something. Today it's the discs. It's the second time for them. I guess it was the second time for the body switching too.

They have a few favorites. We've also been wandering around in each other's dreams a couple of times. Oh, and every two months or so we have a day where the place is just flooded with new inmates but then they all go missing again. And then there's the kissing. Actually, if they stay on schedule that'll be soon.

[John shakes his head at what she says, trying to wrap his head around being able to know what's coming just by their having a few... favorites. The thought of someone wandering around in someone else's dream, it almost makes him shudder.

It all sounds dramatic, and he can't help but stare because kissing sounds pretty harmless until it's put into the context of everything else that goes down here. So now. He has to wonder.]

These little bots fly around catching people when they get close enough together in an invisible barrier that shrinks until the people kiss to release it. [It can be very harmless. It can also not be. Sort of depends on who you get trapped with and how you feel about that.]

This feels like a good time to make something up just to play with you, but you'd probably know I was lying and I don't think I could outdo the things they come up with anyway.

Not so much. But you'd be surprised what you can handle when you've got no other choice. [Maybe this is something he already knows. And maybe it's not as universal as she thinks. For her the parts afterward are usually the hardest when there's time to sit back and reflect or worry about what's coming next.]

The kissing? [She smiles a little flirtatiously. She's in a good mood, okay?] All kind of depends on who you get trapped with, doesn't it?

...no, I wouldn't be. [John's voice is quiet, low. He's used to that. He's used to not having no other choice. He swallows a bit before he lifts his head up to meet her gaze before he shakes his head slightly. John can hardly imagine being put in that situation.]

....I don't know. I think I'd rather someone kiss me because they wanted to and not because they were forced to.

[John smirks softly at the question, and he does owe showing her his powers so without another word, he teleports. There is a flash of light and air one moment and then he is teleported to behind her.

He folds his arms across his chest, breathing in through that reminder she has powers of her own. People here aren't like he has always been told they are, scared of powers.]

Now... works for me.
