It's okay. [More people probably would have meant more people to lose back then.] I was thirteen. [See, teenager. Totally not a big deal.]

That's when Apocalypse's soldiers came to get me. They detected my mutant signature. My parents tried to protect me, so they were killed before I had any idea what was even happening. [She's actually pretty okay telling the story. It's an old one now and she prefers the happy images she's been seeing of them today to this memory.]

This is something I don't understand. Commander Spock claims that it is evolutionarily advantageous, but we would all be more content if good memories came more easily.
