[There's no fanfare today. The museum has something about the benefits of sheep's wool. There are no decorations up. The clothing shops have the same sort of stock they had yesterday. And there are no specialized dishes at the restaurants, but you can probably find a power bar at the convenience store, but there's nothing new there.

What is new is whatever power you woke up with or without today. What you do with that is up to you and whomever you encounter.]

[Clearly something is a little off today, but even if others seem not quite themselves, Euphie hasn't noticed anything different. Of course it's easy to miss the early clues while you're still waking up. It's harder to miss that moment you reach for the sugar at the coffee shop with a lock of your hair rather than your hand.]

[After waking up with a craving for caffeine, Rose heads to the nearest coffee shop to get the biggest cup that she could have. Rose is served quickly enough and moves to get some creamer to mix in with her coffee, stirring it in with a spoon. She lets the coffee sit for a moment or two, allowing it to cool a little. While Rose waits, she notices Euphie nearby and offers her a smile.]

[Marina is not big enough to facilitate long-term avoidance. It's a miracle, really, that Nathan has managed to avoid Euphie for as long as he has, given his predisposition toward aimless wandering. And he doesn't want to avoid her, really. When being around her doesn't go horribly wrong, it makes him happy.

Perhaps it's fortunate, then, that Nathan catches sight of Euphie outside. He fights his initial inclination, which is to walk away. Walking away might be the only way to ensure that he never hurts her again, but it's also a good way to never talk to her again, and he doesn't want that. He really wants to talk to her. She might not be completely opposed to talking to him. This can work.]

Euphie?

[Nathan hasn't noticed that he has picked up a superpower in the form of temperature control. The area within about three feet of him has been cooling and heating in response to his emotions—emotions that have been mild enough, thus far, to avoid significant temperature spikes. If Euphie gets close, though, she might notice that Nathan's immediate vicinity is warmer than the ambient temperature.]
