Day 296 — VR MarinaNova — After the doors close
[Maybe you saw a glowing door open and avoided it or maybe you have no idea anything just happened, but you know something is up now because everything just went dark. Seriously dark. No ambient light of any kind. The kind of dark that makes you wonder if something's wrong with your eyes. Oh, and there's a siren going off from the speakers on the floating island. Don't worry, that will end in about thirty minutes, but you're not so lucky when it comes to the dark.

The kiosk was open earlier, but it's gone dead now and the maintenance bots are in the same condition. As a bonus some people are missing too! Welcome to Day 296.]

[ Aidan was lucky enough to still be inside when the lights went out, on account of that stubborn cold he still haven't been able to shake. Still, sniffles and a low grade fever isn't going to keep him in bed during an emergency like this. No way.

Go-bag strapped tightly to his back and kitchen knife unsheathed, he hurries through the darkened dome. Where, he's not sure. He'd sure like to get really far away from here, panic attack lurking at the very edge of his mind, but in lieu of that he'll just keep going. Maybe things will become clearer. ]

[It was slow going but Euphie got the hang of using Sam's communicator flashlight idea to get herself from the educational center back toward the apartment. Somewhere between her attempt to get back and his attempt to get away the roommates manage to cross paths.

She hears him before she sees him.] Who's there? [She casts the light from the communicator around only to have it go dark on her as the loop ends. She'll need to restart it, fingers feeling their way in the dark.] Ah!

	Hospital? No, I'm not hurt. I suppose the apartment makes the most sense. I'm not even sure why I felt I needed to leave the educational center. I suppose there's just something about the dark that makes you want to be somewhere you feel more secure. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
