Day 296 — VR MarinaNova — After the doors close
[Maybe you saw a glowing door open and avoided it or maybe you have no idea anything just happened, but you know something is up now because everything just went dark. Seriously dark. No ambient light of any kind. The kind of dark that makes you wonder if something's wrong with your eyes. Oh, and there's a siren going off from the speakers on the floating island. Don't worry, that will end in about thirty minutes, but you're not so lucky when it comes to the dark.

The kiosk was open earlier, but it's gone dead now and the maintenance bots are in the same condition. As a bonus some people are missing too! Welcome to Day 296.]

[Sometimes Nathan wishes that he was less fond of wandering around. It's dark, Kitty disappeared right before the lights went out, the sirens are shrieking, and he has no idea where he is in relation to any of the places that he would rather be. Like the apartment, where there are lights. Not that he's afraid of the dark or anything.

(The dark is fine. It's the sensation of being not-quite-real that comes along with the loss of visual input that bothers him, and the feeling is only enhanced by the sirens. Then again, he's crazy; maybe this is a new facet of craziness. Maybe all of the vivid, disturbing scenarios in his head were just precursors to something even more frightening.)

Nathan sits where he is and hugs his knees to his chest. He's just asking to be tripped over.]

	[And tripped over he is as Kanji comes crashing around a corner in the dark, stumbling into everything in his way. He runs right into the seated figure on the floor and goes flying over him, sprawling on the ground in a way that would be comical if it were visible at all.
