Mal leans his head against her neck and closes his eyes. He hasn't felt this calm in a long time. The rest of the world just stops. And then Aidan calls out.]

Though everyone seems to think there is. Funny that... just lost my crew member. Ain't I allowed to grieve? Or is that not allowed here? What am I supposed to do when I watch my crew members come an' go meanwhile I'm still stuck here? I don't see what's wrong with my reaction?

What do it matter if I make friends or not? The fuckin' stabalizer's just gonna steal you all away from me anyway. Your love don't change any of that. You'll still disappear some day. Fuck... you change every few weeks it seems! How long until one day you don't come back from your change?
