[Thunderbolt and lightning—very, very frightening.

Uranus looks back at Sarah, as if debating just how harsh to be. On the one hand, who knows how long they'll be stuck. On the other hand...

"Is that worth your safety?" she asks, and keeps moving. Worrying about the dome caving in will be enough entertainment for her.

If Sarah insists, however, she might be reluctantly persuaded to come around - whether she realizes this or not.

Sarah looks like she's about to argue for a moment. But a fresh burst of wind convinces her this would be the worst idea. The book would get damaged and she'd probably get punished for it.

"No.. you're right. Let's go find a safe zone."

She pulls her sopping wet sweater closer to herself, ready to follow Haruka wherever she goes.

Uranus sets a rapid pace, leaning into the blinding rains with one arm in front of her face as a makeshift shield. A squid hurtles past, looking confused; she dodges it, yanking Sarah to the side. Great. The storm's picking up, before she even has a chance to...

And then she sees the giant squid heading their way. Oh boy.

Sarah is keeping up decently. One of the only good things about growing up in the 80s is that her generation of kids were outside all the time. Sure she wasn't with other kids, but she was still fit.

Mostly, she's trying not to think of the various animals flying around. Until she sees the giant squid. Giant giant squid. She looks around and sees a building. She can't tell what it is but it's the only thing she can think of.

"Over there!"

Oh, shoot. There'll be no batting that aside. If she had to, she could attack it and maybe make the debris smaller, but...

Uranus puts on an extra burst of speed, all but leaping for the safety of the building. If they make it to the door, and it's open, she'll try to shove Sarah in first. If they don't, well...

She's tall, so she makes a decent human shield.

Luckily for them both they make it. Sarah stumbles to the floor and lays there a moment, catching her breath. She hadn't expected flying octopi... or squids... or any of the other things.

A few moments later, she looks up at her savior.

"Thank you. You always seem to help me out with something or another." Whether it's grabbing fairy statues from a top shelf or saving her from flying squids... Sarah is grateful.

The tall woman's useful like that - when not in one of her "support equals coddling" moods. Uranus looks Sarah over, relieved she seems to have made it inside without injury. Shutting the door, she leans on it.

"That must be a really good book," she quips, then looks out at the storm with a frown. Tch. Knowing this place, the strange weather's likely to last all day....which her transformation definitely won't. She can feel her breath coming faster already.

Sarah's forgotten for a moment as Uranus assesses the storm, trying to decide on a plan of action. What's in this building, anyway?

Sarah's already wandered further into the building and laughed when she realized where they are.

"It's a bowling alley! I didn't realize we had a bowling alley."

Seems as good a way as any to wait out the storm. Provided various sea creatures don't end up taking them out.

"Ah..." This place. That just serves to show how discombobulating the storm's been: Uranus has come here before to let off steam. She ended up teaching a sarcastic man from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away what sounded like the future how to bowl. Whatever.

The building seems sturdy enough, though, and the windows don't seem likely to give way any time soon. Uranus wanders around, trying the power (out - what a surprise) and peering around corners. "Looks deserted."

But safe enough to weather the storm in, or not? If Uranus is going to head back out, she needs to do it fast. Her transformation is already exhausting her.

"Yeah, I think we're the only ones here. But that's OK right? Nothing's getting in."

Sarah looks to the windows as though to make sure.

"I mean, would you make it your sole mission to go to the bowling alley on a day like today?"

That gets a chuckle out of Uranus. Another glance out the window, and she's headed to the seating area to grab anything that isn't bolted to the floor. Might as well barricade the door to make sure it doesn't open even if something comes crashing in.

Lifting a chair gets her short of breath, but she endures it. Just a little bit longer. She just needs the power boost a little bit longer. "I wouldn't mind knocking some holes in the Wardens," she admits, wedging the chair against the door and going back for another one. There's no guarantee she'd get back to another safe spot even if she went out in the storm to search for others. Sarah will have to be enough.

Realizing what her rescuer is doing, and also realizing that she's short of breath, Sarah moves to help out. "Are you OK?" she asks as she drags another chair towards the door. "You're not hurt or anything are you?"

Uranus smiles at the silent offer of help. "Don't worry," she reassures the other girl, then takes a look at their makeshift barricade. She nods to herself. That will have to do.

And with that, she exhales. A flutter of rose petals, and her costume has dissolved, leaving Haruka Tenoh standing where Sailor Uranus had been, now dressed in her usual pantsuit instead of the pleated miniskirt.

She grins over at Sarah. "Settle in," she advises, as if nothing had just happened. "It'll be a long day."

"What... what just happened"

"Mm?" Haruka blinks: shoot, she'd only done that in front of Sarah because the girl had called her by her civilian name earlier. "You knew it was me, right?"

The captives might not be on the same wavelength just yet.

That's a nice, general way of putting it. Shrugging, Haruka takes stock of the bowling alley. Was there a snack bar here, again...? Who knows how long they'll be barricaded. It's best to have an accurate count of their resources. "Sort of. Check for leaks around the building."

And that's apparently all she has to say on the subject. Further explanation takes a backseat to dealing with present danger.

Sarah has questions. Lots of questions. But then Haruka stops her in her tracks and tells her to go do something. Sarah nods and takes a look while Haruka finds the snack stuff.

...

She'd never been behind the pin setters before. It was actually really neat... and kind of creepy back here. Checking for leaks was forgotten as she examined the various machines.

There's not much they'll be able to prepare for themselves with only the backup electricity functional, but Haruka knows she'll make do if she has to. Ideally this will only last a day, but she doesn't want to get too complacent. It'd be just like the Wardens to set up an established schedule only to further torment everyone by diverging from it.

Right, supplies, check. Companion....now where did she get to. Haruka wanders around the place until she finally finds Sarah peering at the machinery.

"Don't tell me you're a mechanic too," she offers. At this rate she'll have a whole garage.

Sarah turns looking a little confused. "A mechanic? No! I just wanted to see how they work. There's ever so many things back here." She remembers she's supposed to be doing something. Oh checking for leaks.

"I... didn't see any leaks." At least, not in the places she looked. "Does that mean we're stuck here until the storm's over?"

"There's food," Haruka replies, as if that makes everything better. As shelters go, this bowling alley isn't bad. Hey, if the electricity fully worked, they could even pass the time....

....no, she can't see herself bowling while everything in the dome got splattered with octopi and waterspouts. Haruka steps past the lane machinery to finish her tour of the premises. This is going to be a long....however long this takes.

But she's not going to panic, or jump to conclusions, no matter how suspiciously often she's been doing that lately. Sarah's here with her. So she has to stay calm.

"Oh good. I was thinking I was getting hungry. And that maybe we were in the wrong place. I mean, this isn't one of the safe zones is it?"

Not that Sarah really wants to go out again. She honestly doesn't look all that worried now that they're inside, and she's not being pelted with cephalopods.

"And if we really wanted to pass the time, there's always the bowling."

Haruka shrugs: if there's a roof over it, and it's withstanding the storm thus far, it's a safe zone. The building is large enough to make her think it'll withstand a fair bit of damage before the elements can break in - even if every now and then, near the walls, there's a shuddering, creaking sound.

Right, let's keep Sarah away from the walls. Haruka heads back to her companion, taking a seat at the nearest table. "Whatever you'd like," she offers - they'd have to set the pins by hand, but it's not like they're in any position to worry about wasting time. That's the only thing they've got plenty of.

For now.

Sarah shrugs. "I don't know... last time I was stuck somewhere, I actually had a goal in mind. And I wasn't in one place.

She makes her way over to the food bar and starts stockpiling the candy. "Do you want some?" she asks as she pops a Gobstopper in her mouth.

Haruka's about to turn the food down - they don't know how long they'll be here, they might need that - but if she's really going to think practically, in the long run a little candy isn't going to make a huge difference now or later. She holds up a hand for Sarah to toss her a package. "Surprise me," she requests.

Though since they've only got the emergency lights on, maybe what Sarah tosses her will be a surprise to the girl as well.

She sighs, keeping herself calm. Haruka's been overemotional lately - really suspicious of everyone and everything - and she's tired of it. A breather like this might actually be good.
