[Talk with Mal is always violent it seems. Ever since Inara left. Way in the back of his mind, Mal realizes this is wrong, but it's so much easier to give into the anger. So he does. Every single time.

The stables are different though. He hasn't been there recently. Even with the storm and the panicked horses, Mal looks closer to peace than he has in recent days. He immediately goes towards Serenity's stall and walks in, heedless of her panic.]

Shh... woah girl. Jus' a storm. You kin weather a storm...

[ Before, the stables were a source of comfort for a turmoiled soul but after the last bout of waking up with more memories than you went to bed with, Aidan has found a quiet determination taking the place of that uncertainty. He knows what he needs to do, back home. He knows he has to wait. He knows he'll probably not make it out alive on the other end,

Coming to peace with that may just have been the best thing for him. ]

They alright? [ He lingers at the door, keeping an eye on the outside. Temperature fluctuations, flying octopi, sudden gusts of wind and torrential rains... he's not going to turn his back on that. ]

[Being near the horses has a head clearing effect Mal didn't expect. He steps forward and Serenity calms down. Finally he reaches a hand out to her muzzle. She whickers softly and steps forward. Mal leans his head against her neck and closes his eyes. He hasn't felt this calm in a long time. The rest of the world just stops. And then Aidan calls out.]

[It comes out as a growl at the moment. He's trying not to spook the horses too much.]

Though everyone seems to think there is. Funny that... just lost my crew member. Ain't I allowed to grieve? Or is that not allowed here? What am I supposed to do when I watch my crew members come an' go meanwhile I'm still stuck here? I don't see what's wrong with my reaction?

What do it matter if I make friends or not? The fuckin' stabalizer's just gonna steal you all away from me anyway. Your love don't change any of that. You'll still disappear some day. Fuck... you change every few weeks it seems! How long until one day you don't come back from your change?
