[Carol was surprised to wake up to rain. What a strange thing to have in a controlled environment. It's a good day to stay inside, she thinks.

But then it gets worse. She hears a weird thudding on her balcony and looks out the window and what does she find? An octopus, clinging to the rails. But farther in the distance, the wind is picking up and ripping the shingles off the neighboring roof. Maybe home isn't the safest place to be.

She's already got a backpack packed and ready to go. She readied the first aide kit just last night, and good timing too. She throws on a large jacket and slips little Snowball into the inner pocket before zipping up.]

Let's got find one of those shelters, baby.

[So here she is, out somewhere between Sectors 4 and 5, hoping to reach the hospital in one piece.]

[When the weather began to get worse, Rose decided that seeking others out might be a good idea. She wasn't very worried about getting hurt, more about people she was friends with, and a synthetic blood supply. A bag from the clinic would be better, but Rose couldn't afford to be fussy.

She finds herself at the edge of of Sector 4 and keeps on moving, not stopping for anything. Until she spots Carol.

Rose makes her way over to her carefully, raising a hand to catch her attention.]

Carol!

The storm carries it away before she can pinpoint the source, but she finds the other woman anyway and raises a hand, half in greeting, half to shield her face, as she moves steadily closer. [Carol has the good grace to smile before a blast of freezing rain forces her to duck under her hood.]

I was hoping for the hospital. If it's true the shelters are protected, I would like to be somewhere that's least likely to fall apart.

[She turns her head and watches an octopus drop out of the sky and slide across the ground and out of sight. Well ... that was fun.]

	Then you have the right idea. It will probably be the best place to go in weather like this. [Her mouth falls open when she sees the octopus fall from a great height, not expecting it. 	I've seen some bad storms, even a couple of tornadoes, but nothing quite like this. This is like every bad storm rolled into one, with seafood thrown in for flavor. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Makes me wonder why they even decided to mix them all together, but this place doesn't make sense most of the time. [The sea creatures were a strange touch, and a little ridiculous if Rose was being honest.] I've heard of the expression raining cats and dogs but not raining octopuses.
