When you're a samurai you gotta study everyone's body language and the way a person moves. You learn to sense whether or not someone's about to come after you before they can make their move. [A sage nod!] But as a friend you learn what a person does after they get up and their other routines, the length of their stride, the way they say your name, what their footsteps sound like, what each their sighs mean. All kinds of stuff.
