[Arriving at a strange place isn't new to Catherine Halsey. Her life has been full of odd occurrences and this shouldn't be any different. But it is, more mysterious than anything else she's been through. Prison? Again. Not rightfully so; hasn't she served her time? Hasn't she suffered enough, properly atoned without being put in a jumpsuit?]

This isn't the chain gang...

[It's muttered as she fumbles with the device, starting up a voice communication.]

To anyone who is listening: An explanation would be helpful, something more relevant than what I've received, a detailing of events and the essence of this situation. Additionally... [She pauses.] ...if anyone is near gardens and a series of greenhouses, I require physical assistance as well.

[Because newly arrived, stolen away only minutes after her life-saving amputation, she is now stuck in a greenhouse with a rather stubborn door.

At least the view is nice...?]

[ catherine is very lucky helen's even responding at all. she's had a rough few days and if she sounds weary and exhausted in spite of the hour... she probably is. ]

I'm afraid there's very little explanation offered aside from the fact that we're all imprisoned here either for crimes we didn't commit or because our wardens don't believe in extenuating circumstances. It isn't too bad as far as prisons go, but it is still a prison.

[ a prison she obviously doesn't fully appreciate. ]

I try not to take things at face value unless absolutely necessary. Investigation is often key. [But as for crimes she didn't commit, well... She can't say anything to that. She knows what she's done. Even if this is a surprising turn of events, she was bound to be further imprisoned somewhere at some juncture. Or, apparently, executed. Technicalities.]

Dr. Catherine Halsey. No one knows what sort of device or mechanism brought us here, I presume.

I absolutely agree and many people are hard at work finding out what we can. Unfortunately, it's not nearly what I would like it to be. [ there's a reason she pointed out extenuating circumstances. her count of mass murder was certainly that. ]

I've heard tell of a "dimensional stabilizer," but no one really seems to know how it works. Either that's what pulls us here or the wardens are capable of more than just being the annoying faces of our imprisonment.

	No one would expect you to. There's a lot to be seen here. I would suggest looking into the Defense Force once you're settled. [ investigative team. they might have something to interest her. ] And of course, if you ever find yourself in need of medical assistance, I run the clinic in Sector 3.
