Day 222 — Mandatory activity mingle
[ It's a wonderful, stormy day here in Squall Asylum and vacation time is officially over! Your gracious overlords have worked out a light itinerary for you today and they expect you to keep it.

Get in line to pick up your food rations for the day. Eat breakfast if you have time for it, or perhaps you'd rather skip this one time and save yourself the discomfort during the two hours of exercise that follow. Jogging, jumping jacks or perhaps impromptu team sports, whatever you end up doing you bet you'll come out exercised in the end!

Should you not want to participate... well. We have ways to make you join in. Anyone reluctant to get their heart rate up will get a helpful electric prod by one of the bots until they comply. Tough cookies.

Luckily you'll get a chance to wash off that sweat (hope you're not shy, the wash room can get crowded) before it's time for the silent game for an hour, followed by lunch. The day is not over yet though! There's still time for a couple of hours of hard labor tending to the crops, doing laundry or perhaps breaking bricks in the yard. To make sure none of the inmates are broken this is also the time for mandatory physical checkups — bots will guide you to the hospital. No ifs or buts. The violation of personal privacy is for your own good, we promise.

[Kitty was okay at breakfast. She was tolerating the situation as best as possible, doing her morning routine as best she could fit it with crappy breakfast and all of that.

Exercise wasn't bad. She was used to training from being with the X-Men, so she got through it well enough.

Showering was quite another issue. While she was used to the shared shower thing because she was at a boarding school, these showers didn't allow for much privacy outside of the tiny shower curtained area. So, please to not be minding the suddenly shy girl trying to avoid being caught in the nude, okay?!

For meditation, she did her best to stay focused, but she often sat watching everyone else and doing her best to stay quiet. This wasn't a strong point.

Lunch was mediocre, as expected, and Kitty did her best to join in the communal cooking of combined rations. She wasn't the best cook, but she'd help as much as she could.

For work, she ended up tending crops. Again, not a strong point, and she was really getting frustrated with the day at this point. By now, she'd watched people get tasered (poor Euphie!), dragged about, and had really not much to eat. She was also dragged off to a medical exam about half way through the work period, which she came back feeling poked and prodded like a piece of meat. It made her rather cross at this point, and she started taking it out on the crops.

By dinner, she was tired and cranky, and surprisingly unsocial. She did her best to put on a smile for the crowd, but she spent most of dinner exhausted and poking at her food with a severe lack of enthusiasm.]

[She sighed.]

Something's wrong with Euphie. The bots were hurting her really bad about it. I think something happened to Saya, but I haven't confirmed it, yet. And there might still be people missing. The showers have like no privacy. And where do they get off poking and prodding us like lab rats for no reason? It's not like I'm sick or anything.

I mean, like, I could deal if I just had to do it and things were going smoothly, but they're not.

[Kitty hated this place.]
