KARAOKE NIGHT AT THE SHACK

Daiquiri induced hugs are entirely allowed and even encouraged. Although, if she takes it much beyond hugs, Peter would have to stop it simply because he's got a fairly strict code of honor. He's grinning at her when she pulls away.

"Hey, no. Being thought of is nice. I mean, I like it. I was kind of thinking of you too. Like--I mean--I thought maybe that you'd be here. With the singing thing. Not that I knew you sang. Maybe you don't sing at all--do you? Anyway...yeah. I sort of--yeah."

He clears his throat. Suitably awkward for you, Dawn? "Hey."

“Oh, my singing is a thing that I don’t inflict on people unless I’m very drunk or very nervous. Although I’ve been told that the whole nervous singing thing sometimes occurs at very inappropriate times like when fleeing to or from some big bad or another.” She smiles though. “It’s nice that you were thinking about me too though.”

Reaching up, she tucks her hair back behind her ears. “Except… I was thinking about you because I heard that there might be this dance from my friend Quinn. It’s this Sadie Hawkins thing where the girls ask the guys. And I thought… maybe if I hypothetically asked you that maybe you might hypothetically say yes and we could… go… as friends… or a date as friends. A friend date. Or just a date. You know, whatever. Hypothetically whatever.”

"That bad huh?" He says it with a grin though because he's not mocking her singing. He's just asking. He doesn't really sing either. At least not without expecting that it will be found horrible. "Nervous singing huh? I have this thing with nervous twitching. You--you probably noticed. And also I sort of stumble over my words so I end up---pausing and repeating myself a lot." He nods, still grinning like a goof. "Yeah. There was---" presses his lips together and nods "There was thinking."

He watches her, lips still pressed together, brow furrowed, temporarily caught up in the way she tucks her hair behind her ears. "Could I--I'd like to photograph you sometime." Then he stops, realizing both that she was saying something and that asking to photograph people might come off as creepy. "I mean--it's a thing I--what? Sorry. Dance? I--uhm---I'm not very...yes. I could--I mean, I would like to go to the dance with you." He pauses again, still looking deeply confused. "Right? I mean I got distracted...that was what you asked, right? If it wasn't just...ignore me. Totally. Ignore me."

She can't help but smile at the idea that he'd been thinking about her too. It really shouldn't make her feel better about her own crushing, but it does. She looks up to him when he mentions photographing her. She nods quickly. "Uhm... yeah, that's what I was asking. About the dance and us... doing it together. I mean not it it, but it as in the dance. You and me. Was that a yes?"

Because she kind of got lost in the cute that is him too. "Because if it's a yes to the dance then I could totally see it being a yes to being photographed too. Although, nobody's really taken my picture since I was in school and that was for the yearbook so I might not be very photogenic as in... yeah."

	Okay, she makes him go a little red with her ramble. He rubs his hand across the back of his neck, grinning and nods a little. "Yeah. Ye-yeah that--that was a yes." He trailed his hand back up into his hair, ruffling it up before smiling a bit more confidently. "No. You're--you're...I mean I'm pretty sure you're going to be really photogenic." 	"I also want you to teach me skate boarding, like we talked about. I was telling my sister about it and she thinks there should be padding all around when I try it, but I think I can handle the pressure... and the keeping upright without any padding." 	"That sounds perfect. I kinda like hanging out with you in case that wasn't obvious." Plus she doesn't usually make her own friends very well and keep them. The older and more involved she had become with the Scoobies, the harder it had been to make friends. And Peter didn't seem to be unnerved by the weirdness that was her and her life... so far. I mean I do spend time alone back home...not that you asked. Right. Yeah. So we'll skateboard and I'll keep you from falling. It'll be good." His brow furrows. "Tomorrow? I mean--or--or a couple of days if you'd rather."

He likes Dawn and she seems to like him. This makes him more nervous, apt to ramble and stumble over his words.

	"I like listening to everyone else get up and sing. They all actually sound decent and then I remember what I would sound like if I got my sing on and nobody deserves that.
