Greetings, fellow Marina-ites, -ans, -ers,
As mentioned in the last mod post, Rica and I are going to play host to Marina 2: The Empire Strikes Back (working title). We are currently discussing ideas, plans, revisions, things to keep the same and never touch, and we want your input! Obviously, with so many people we'll have lots of opinions—many conflicting—so not everything can be implemented into the new game, but we want to consider everything! We want to consider things until our considerers fall right off. I bet you didn't even know you had a considerer. True fact.
First and foremost, we have a poll for you, because moving comms is a necessity as outlined in the previous post, but moving sites isn't. Given recent issues, we thought this was something we should put to a vote. Rica and I are both on board with either staying on InsaneJournal or moving to Dreamwidth.
The poll is open until Sunday at midnight EST or until there is a clear winner (we know we have 85 players, so if we get 65 votes for something other than no preference then we'll know, and we can start securing spaces for us.) Feedback is always welcome, but having it in by Sunday will he helpful for us too. We want to work as efficiently as possible in getting everything ready for the move.
Vote only once and use a character journal currently associated with the game.

Since we are very much in the beginning stages we can't tell you much about how things will be, but we do intend to have everything ready to go for when Marina closes and we hope you'll be there! No one will need to reapply for characters you're already playing here. That being said you are completely welcome to ask us questions, but we might not have answers yet.
We can also say that as per Kay and Li's request the comm, setting, and warden will all be changing. It will still be a prison. There will still be a warden. It just won't be Sentience or Acumen. Your characters will still be able to keep their memories of Marina. We also want to keep the general tone of the game the same, although there may be some changes both IC and OOC.
Some topics you might consider putting your two cents in for: Applications, Activity Check, and HMD. Also, anything else ever.
