Who: Myka and Helena
What: A shared dream that involves an alternate version of the Warehouse exploding. Helena is the Dreamer.
When: Late Monday night/early Tuesday morning
Where: Physically they're in Myka's room. In the dream, they're in Warehouse 13 with Sykes' bomb.
Warning: Possibly some language, explosion, death in the dream. Also sexual content post-waking up.
Status: Closed/Incomplete

This wasn't supposed to be happening. Sykes was dead and gone, the threat to the Warehouse was supposed to be gone. And now Myka and Helena were stuck in the Warehouse. Pete and Artie had made it through the portal and closed it on Sykes, but the alert hadn't dropped. Back-tracking, Helena went back to the wheelchair Sykes had left behind. Clearly there was still something in it that posed a threat to the Warehouse. Inspecting the device, Helena pulled up the seat cushion and that's when she found the bomb. Her face blanched of color as she recognized the writing on the piece of masonry.

"This is from the House of Commons in London," she said, casting a worried look to Myka. This really didn't bode well for them. So they basically had ten minutes to disable this. Quickly, Helena inspected the box containing this artifact. "We need to neutralize this." She glanced around, looking for one of the barrels. A sense of dread was forming itself in her stomach, but she was trying to not let it control her. She needed to remain logical. Her and Myka could find a way out of this. Not to mention they were in a place where miracles happened. If worse came to worse, there had to be an artifact in here they could use. Something that could get them both out of this and to safety. Grabbing the bomb, Helena moved down the aisle they were currently in, her eyes glancing over the shelves to see if anything there could potentially help the situation. She cursed under her breath as she didn't see anything that could aid them in this.

Helena was loving the way Myka was responding to her. She kept her hands caressing her lover's body as her tongue continued moving faster and harder within Myka's body. She could tell her lover wasn't that far from another climax. Despite the fact she was only beginning the learning process of the younger woman's body and its reactions to her ministrations, she could feel the tension rising with her lover's body. When Myka's climax hit, Helena was assaulted by her lover's taste in its fullest. Once the wave finished rolling through Myka, Helena slid her tongue out of her lover and savored the taste. Though as she turned her gaze back up her lover's body, she noticed Myka had turned her head into the pillow. A bit confused, Helena crawled up along Myka, then shifted to lay beside her. She reached out and gently brushed some hair from Myka's face, and that's when she noticed the tears.

Instantly, Helena thought she'd done something wrong or that Myka had realized that this was too soon for her and it was too much for her handle right now. "Love, what's wrong?" She asked, slipping her arms around Myka, pulling her close. All in a moment she'd forgotten her own arousal as now she was far more concerned about Myka. Or perhaps it wasn't anything she'd done and it was just some flash of whatever nightmare she'd had passing through her mind again. The Victorian woman had no idea, but she wanted to comfort her lover any way she possibly could.

Myka felt Helena crawl up her body and then lie next to her. She even felt her hair being brushed away from her face. But she couldn't bring herself to turn around and face her lover. Knowing that if she did turn around she would fall apart and the tears would begin to flow. When Helena spoke and pulled her closer to her, Myka lost the control that she had over her tears. Rolling over she buried her face into her lovers neck and began to cry. Crying, because she knew that once Helena learned that she was too inexperienced to truly pleasure her that it would be the beginning of the end. Their relationship had only just begun and now it was surely going to come to an end. Myka was really being irrational with her current train of thought. If she was thinking more clearly she would have realized that Helena wasn't going to leave her. The woman had made it quite clear that she was the reason for her being a better person.

The crux of the problem lay in the fact that quite possibly she hadn't been ready for this. The adrenaline and pain from her nightmare had been so fresh in her mind. Reeling off being incinerated while Helena got to safety had propelled her to initiate their lovemaking. The Victorian woman had all ready shown that her restraint could easily be broken by something that she did. And straddling Helena naked and then laying sprawled out on her back offering her body up had been of no help. If only Myka would think rationally about the situation she would see that her doubts were for naught. In their first round of lovemaking she had mimicked what Helena had done and it was Helena who had climaxed first. As her tears came to a stop she lay there debating whether to say anything or not. If she remained quiet she could hold on to the feeling of her lovers naked body against hers for just awhile longer. Finally she murmured into Helena's skin, "You're going to leave me," she couldn't put off the inevitable any longer.

Really, there were so many different things running through her mind currently about what had gone wrong. Had this been too soon for Myka? Had she not been ready for this step? Or was there something deeper going on? Or was it truly only due to the nightmare she'd had? The younger woman rather been on emotional overdrive. Briefly, Helena wondered if she should ask about the nightmare, but it might not be the best time to do so. Instead, as Myka rolled over, buried her face in her neck and started to cry, Helena held her lover close to her, rubbing her back soothingly. She remained silent, simply letting her lover get her emotions out. The younger woman wasn't always so free with her emotions, and Helena wanted her to release them, hoping that after Myka would be able to tell her what was wrong so she could help make things better.

Though when her lover finally did say what was wrong, Helena had not expected that to be the issue. There were many other things she would've guessed before that. It was irrational because Helena would never leave Myka. "Of course I won't leave you, love. Why would you think that? I love you. You are the one I've spent my entire life waiting for. Why would I leave you now when I just got you? You are also the one I would die to protect, that I have died to protect. I have all the reason in the world to stay and no reason at all to leave." Her voice was both gentle yet firm, conveying her love and belief that she would never leave the younger woman. Not when she finally had the chance to love her. Not when she finally had the chance to be happy.

At Helena's response, Myka pulled away and sat up. Pulling her knees up to her chest and hugging her legs with her arms. "Yes, you will. I don't know how to pleasure you like this. You might stay now but you will leave me. Nothing else matters. You're going to leave me!" Myka said all this in a rush barely stopping to take a breath. She was never this emotional with anyone else. But the thought that Helena would in fact leave her was a painful one. Her heart all ready belonged to the other woman. But a clean break right now would salvage what little dignity she had left. Because if it went on for much longer she'd be unable to come back from it. Sex was on occasion the reason that couples broke up, marriages ended, it made sense in her irrational mind that Helena would leave her due to her inexperience.

Dropping her head to rest her chin against her knees, Myka stared not looking at anything in particular. Just staring as if she wasn't even there. As if she had retreated into herself as a means of self preservation.

When Myka pulled away and sat up, Helena sat up, frowning a bit as she heard the words come out of her lover's mouth. It troubled her that Myka seemed to believe this so fervently, if irrationally. Though it was obvious to Helena that Myka was just afraid because this was a new experience for her. It was a fear that Helena understood. She'd had similar fears when she'd taken her first female lover. But of course the circumstances of that relationship had been far different. It had not been a monogamous relationship like the one she currently had with the younger woman. Helena saw that distant look in Myka's gaze and she frowned. She shifted to kneel in front of Myka and placed her hands on both sides of her lover's head.

"Myka, look at me," she stated a bit forcefully, trying to get her lover's attention as she looked her in the eye intently. "Listen to me. Yes making love to a woman is different than making love to a man, but there is always a period of adjustment with any new lover you take. I have every faith that you will learn how to pleasure me. And frankly love, you all ready have pleasured me. You can do it. Believe me, I understand the fear. I felt much the same the first time I was with a woman. But you can and will learn as time moves on. I believe in you, Myka, and I am not going anywhere. I love you, and that is the most important aspect. I love you and you love me, and that's the most important part of this. From there everything else will come. I will not leave you. I am yours now and forever." She gazed into Myka's eyes, wondering how much that would get through to Myka.

Myka felt the bed shift as Helena moved to kneel in front of her but it wasn't enough to pull her out of the void her mind had gone through. In her mind she would never be good enough and putting herself through the heartbreak wasn't in the cards for her. A person could only go through but so much before enough was enough. When she felt her lover's hands grip both sides of her head she lifted her eyes to look her in the face. Not that she was given much choice in the matter as Helena was determined to look her in the eye. As Helena spoke, Myka listened intently taking in everything that the other woman said. With every word she began to push her insecurities to the back of her mind. She was being irrational about the situation and coming to irrational conclusions. And all because she was afraid. Afraid of the new experience that being with a woman brought.

The part of Helena's statement that struck Myka the most lay after she had said she'd believed in her. In those words she'd forced her to give up her fears. They would always remain, because as Helena had said, they were going through an adjustment period. It had been so long since she'd been in a relationship that she'd all but forgotten the feeling of starting something new. It had been those feelings in addition to her fears of making love to a woman for the first time that had led to her trying to push Helena away. But her Victorian lover was resilient and wasn't going to give up on them so easily. And that alone made Myka love her even more than she knew that she all ready did. Still unable to fully let go and believe in her lovers words, Myka whispered, "Promise?"

Perhaps more than anything else, Helena was resilient. She was far more resilient that she gave herself credit for, but she was alive and still standing after she'd been broken and torn apart by life. How she was even still standing was a complete and utter mystery to her, but she did know that Myka was part, if not all, of the reason for her willingness to keep fighting despite everything. Deep inside, she was tired of being a fighter, tired of trying to live only to have life throw her yet another obstacle to break her soul, or even kill her. Love was certainly the most powerful motivator a person could have. That was what had prompted Helena to sacrifice herself for the greater good, that was why she'd smelled apples again. And now, being not only alive but in a strange world that she needed to try to understand, she had love to ground her, to keep her fighting when things seemed to become too overwhelming for her.

So when Myka looked her in the eye, Helena could tell she was listening to her. And now that she knew the younger woman loved her in return, Helena would never stop fighting for her. She would never just let Myka go. The Victorian woman knew that if she lost Myka now, after this, it would surely kill her. And now when she finally had a reason to live, Helena wasn't giving it up. She'd fight to the death for Myka. When she heard her lover's whisper, the Victorian woman nodded. "I promise. Whether you like it or not, you are rather stuck with me for all eternity. I will never let you go, love." Helena kept her gaze locked on Myka's, a deep truth reflected in her own eyes along with the depths of her love for the woman in front of her. She gently stroked Myka's hair with one hand.

Myka would continue to be afraid as this was all new to her. But with the knowledge that Helena refused to leave her side "for all eternity" she'd learn to move past her fears. Learn to be more open and share what she was feeling before it got to this point again. Their first time making love to one another should have happened at a different time. But when they started she'd been reeling from the nightmare. In a way losing Helena all over again. Only this time she had been the one to not survive the blast. At some point Myka knew that she would need to talk to her lover about what her nightmare consisted of. But for now trying to forget the nightmare and being with Helena was more important. As Helena stroked her hair Myka smiled. The Victorian woman had promised to stay by her side and love her forever. Some might even take that as a proposal of sorts. In any case it filled Myka's heart with warmth and helped her to begin conquering her fears. In time she'd adapt and not be as afraid to pleasure her lover. Releasing her legs she wrapped her arms around Helena's neck and clung to her. Being wrapped in the older woman's embrace was something that she needed right now. To solidify the promise that she would never go anywhere.
