If Shadow knew that she thought he'd found a love interest, he'd probably laugh. Honestly? He hadn't really been interested in anyone past Laura. She wasn't in Madison Valley and he's not even sure if he'd want his wife... ex-wife... or whatever she was there. Besides, how would that even work? Especially when she was dead.

"She is."

"I bet you were an amazing movie star," he tells her. "I'm security at the Iron Pepper Casino. I was a bodyguard back home, so security seemed like a good thing to do."

Allison smiled. She couldn't say she was; her fame had been because of four little words after all. Following that, it had all kind of spiraled out of control. She was able to obtain any script she wanted, work with any director, and be given any role. There was no challenge, no actual work, because everything was essentially handed to her on a silver platter.

"I didn't do too badly. Security actually sounds way more fun than doing hair. I bet you run into a lot of interesting people at that job."

Somehow he wasn't sure if the whole 'didn't do too bad' was just her being modest, or what. He doesn't ask. If she wanted to talk about it then she would. It wasn't something that he was going to push. That's the last thing that he wanted to do with anyone.

"Considering that it's at a casino, the people there can be very interesting. Even more so when they decide to get drunk and don't want to leave," he states. Then they could act like downright idiots. The world didn't need that.

Allison felt that throwing someone out of a casino for being drunk and disorderly would be more entertaining than doing hair any day. Maybe she had ended up in the wrong line of work, but considering her past, maybe a mundane existence was all that she needed right now.

Just then the bell rang out and Allison pushed her chair back in order to stand.

"But it was nice talking to you, Shadow. I hope you have a good rest of the night."

There was probably a lot that sounded better than doing hair. If he actually had hair, though, he'd probably go to her first. There was just an air about her. One that he didn't mind. This? It had definitely been a good idea to do. Even if he wasn't sure if he'd do it again or not, but only time would really tell.

When the bell rings, he gives her a smile and stands himself. More out of courtesy than anything else. Equal footing, as it were.

"It was nice talking to you too, Allison. I hope you enjoy the rest of your night, as well."
