Summary: For mnemosyne_1, who requested art for one of her stories. This was a tough choice, as I could have done almost any of your requests. (Perhaps I'll sneak another in for a birthday. *g*) But, I have wanted to create something for 'Stand Still' ever since reading it the first time during last year's Snupin Santa exchange. Only, I never had the time around my other projects. Now, I've been given the perfect opportunity. I may have gone a little bit overboard. I couldn't decide on one scene to do. So, I did...more. *g* And a few goodies on the side, made from the results. Hope you like them, sweetie!

Summary: Blinded in the final battle and stripped of his wand, Severus finds himself locked in a cell after the dust settles, feeling hopeless and no better than a Muggle. After a seemingly endless wait, he is finally allowed his "freedom" from Ministry incarceration only by, once again, binding his life to another's... but at least Lupin is better than the alternatives.
Word count: ~19,900
Prompt: The Ministry demands that witches and wizards marry after the war and Remus and Severus are caught in the execution of the new rule. How does this change their lives, and how do they handle things?
Warnings/kinks: Forced marriage, disability, H/C, first time, angst, romance
Authors notes: Post war, canon to HBP. Title comes from a quote by Simone Signoret: "Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years." A million thanks to my betas, who held my hand (and kicked my arse!) when I needed it!
