My insides are copper
Who: Quentin James and Lauren Cooper
Where: Wildfire Ink
When: Afternoonish
Quentin was completely unaware of the fact that Dog Ink had burned to the ground until he tried to call the number he had for the place and found it disconnected. A little research on the Internet later found a whole slew of articles about the incident. Who knew if his tattoo artist was working at another place? This was one time when Quentin genuinely hated the fact that he didn't live in Maine anymore. He was good friends with the guy who had done all of his previous work, and though he liked Remy's designs, he'd still been going out on a limb to have her work on this. Now she was gone, and he didn't have a way to track her back down again.
This was the biggest tattoo he'd ever had done: the whole marina on his back, with Kevin's boat at the dock. People grieved in different ways and this was how Quentin chose to remember his brother. He didn't do conventional and he didn't do sappy. But the fact of the matter was that he was left with the outline of a design that needed to be filled in, and he needed an artist to do it. Simple as that.
He found the address for Wildfire Ink online, and with all his sketches in hand, he went to check out the place. Granted, it took Quentin close to an hour to actually find it, but that was par for the course with him. Stepping inside, it looked like a good place, but he'd have to talk to someone to be sure. Not everyone wanted to take on a half-finished piece, after all, but it wasn't like he could go back to Remy now. Besides, it wasn't his fault the last place burned and he had to wait for the tattoo to heal, anyway. Hopefully everything would work out, sooner rather than later.
